TROLLING MOTOR TRANSDUCER Installation Guide
If you purchased the AD-STM or AD XTM 9 accessory, you will need to use the hardware that
originally came with the transducer to attach the transducer to the bracket.
2. Position the transducer on the underside of the motor housing with the transducer end
containing the mounting ears or mounting knuckle oriented away from the propeller (see
Attaching the Transducer).
3. Insert the hose clamp around the adapter bracket on the top of the transducer and pull the
two ends up around the motor housing.
CAUTION! Do NOT install the hose clamps where they can come into contact with the trolling
motor support rails.
NOTE: As you tighten the hose clamp, check to make sure that the transducer is properly
aligned with the motor housing.
4. After tightening the hose clamp, confirm that the transducer is secured to the motor housing
and will not slip off during operation.

| Route the Cable
As you route the cable from the trolling motor to the boat, it is important to secure the cable to the
trolling motor shaft using the cable ties provided to prevent the cable from getting pinched or cut
when the motor is stowed or deployed. As you route the cable to the control head, leave sufficient
slack in the cable to allow for full movement and retraction of the trolling motor during normal
operation.
NOTE: Your boat may have a pre-existing wiring channel or conduit that you can use for the
transducer cable.
CAUTION! Do not cut or shorten the transducer cable, and try not to damage the cable insulation.
Route the cable as far as possible from your control head power and any VHF radio antenna cables
or tachometer cables to reduce the possibility of interference. If the cable is too short, extension
cables are available to extend the transducer cable up to a total of 50'. For assistance, contact
Humminbird Technical Support.
1. Unplug the other end of the transducer cable from the control head.
