GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Keep these instructions for future reference.
• Installation, electrical connections and adjustments must be performed by qualified personnel in accordance with Good Working
Methods and in compliance with the current standards.
• This product must only be used for the specific purpose for which it was designed. Any other use is to be considered improper and
therefore dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by improper, incorrect or unreasonable use.
• Read the instructions carefully before installing the product. Incorrect installation may cause danger.
• Before installing the product, make sure it is in perfect condition.
• Do not install the product in explosive areas and atmospheres: the presence of inflammable gas or fumes represents a serious
safety hazard.
• Danger of explosion if a battery is replaced with an incorrect type.
• The packaging materials (plastic, polystyrene, etc.) should not be discarded in the environment or left within reach of children, as
they are a potential source of danger.
INSTALLATION
Installation of the SPRINTBAT battery kit allows the automation to continue operating even when the power supply fails.
NOTE: when there is mains power, the batteries are kept charged using the control panel.
• Connect the SPRINTBAT battery kit control board to the control panel.
• Insert the battery kit into the housing and secure it using the supplied screws as shown in fig. 1.
• Make the electrical connections, as shown in fig. 1.
• Connect the power supply and the batteries to the automation at least 30 minutes before starting up the system in order to charge
the batteries.
• Check that the automation works correctly using the batteries when the power supply is disconnected.

ENABLING PROCEDURE
The DIP switches must be set as instructed. If not, the modifications will not be accepted and the IN LED will flash:
• press the OPEN key for 4 seconds (the IN LED flashes);
• adjust the trimmers and select the DIPs within the 5 minute time limit;
• to complete the procedure, press the OPEN key for 2 seconds or wait for the time limit to expire.

NOTE: to access the compartment housing the 230 V power supply connector and the F1 fuse, remove the SPRINTBAT battery
kit control board.

The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates that the product should be disposed of separately from household waste. The product should
be handed in for recycling in accordance with local environmental regulations for waste disposal. By separating a marked item from house-
hold waste, you will help reduce the volume of waste sent to incinerators or landfill and minimize any potential negative impact on human
health and the environment.

Anti-panic mode.
With the mains power supply off, the auto-
mation will carry out an opening operation
at low speed.
If the door is opening or closing, the low
speed opening operation is automatically
performed when the first open command is
received. When the door is open, the power
supply is disconnected from the control
panel.
Continuous operating.
The battery kit ensures correct functioning
of the door until maximum battery efficien-
cy is reached. When the batteries are flat,
the automation will carry out a last closing
operation at low speed. Once the operation
has been completed, the batteries are dis-
connected and the control panel remains
de-energised.
OFF
Continuous mode.
With the mains power supply off, the bat-
tery kit will guarantee continuous operating
(see DIP2).
Energy saving.
If the door remains closed for more than 2
minutes the battery kit is automatically dis-
connected.
To return to normal operating, an impulsed
KEY command must be given.
