INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE, MAINTENANCE,
AND SAFETY
CLIPPER STAR UNIVERSAL CD100
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
BEFORE USING THE CLIPPERS
Important: please follow the guidelines for use
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Before turning on your clippers please read and follow these
instructions carefully. Check that the voltage indicated on the
clippers corresponds to your electrical supply. Your electrical
supply should meet current safety standards and be fitted with a
30 mA circuit breaker.
- Never submerge the clippers in water and never use in wet
places.
- Never use the clippers near a bathtub, shower, or recipients that
contain liquids; if the clippers fall into water and they are
connected to the power supply, unplug the power supply before
picking up the clippers.
- Never use the clippers if they are dropped into water: take the
clippers to the STAR UNIVERSAL technical assistance centre
for inspection and repair if necessary:

- If the clippers stop working or do not work correctly, turn them
off and do not open them. Repairs should only be performed at
the STAR UNIVERSAL technical assistance centre.
- If the power cable is damaged, it should be discarded and
replaced with an identical model.
- Never use the clippers with a comb that has damaged or
missing teeth near the cutting blades.
- Never use the clippers with wet hands and/or feet.
- Never use the clippers barefoot.
- Never use the extension lead in rooms that are destined for
bathing or showering without taking specific precautions.
- Never pull the power cable or the clippers to unplug it from the
power socket.
- Never allow children or unskilled persons to use the clippers
without supervision.
- Never use the clippers for anything other than the purpose for
which it is designed.
NEVER OPEN THE CLIPPER
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Before cleaning, turn off the clippers and remove the plug from
the power socket.
- Clean and lubricate using the "4-in-1" OPTIMUM spray
(optional); never use solvents or abrasive products.
- To clean the body of the clippers, use a soft cloth.
- Do not use inappropriate solvents (e.g. cream, greases, etc.).
STARTING OF THE CLIPPER:
- Make sure that the ignition switch is placed on the position
OFF, meaning that the clipper is extinct.
- This model of clippers operates on mains power.
- For the first starting of the clipper, it is necessary to lubricate
the blade before use with the "4-in-1" OPTIMUM spray
(optional).
- Make sure that the clippers and cutting head are clean before
starting to clip, as dirt will prevent the clippers from running
smoothly.
- Turn the ignition switch in position I, mean the position ON of
the clipper. The position II, mean the 2nd speed (faster).
REPLACEMENT OF THE BLADE:
- The clipper Star Universal CD100 makes it possible to leave
different lengths of cut either by using different blades provided in
option in the range Star Universal, "Optimum clip", Oster, Wahl,
Moser, Andis, Thrive.
- For optional items, ask to your distributor or contact
infos@vivog.fr.
- To replace the cutting blade, turn the clipper OFF, release the
blade while supporting on the spring and in the center of the blade
then to make slide on the hinge (picture 1).
- To position back the blade, put the clipper in position ON, insert
the blade on the hinge then to press it until hearing the clac
blocking (picture 2).
CAUTION
If after a period of use, your clipper does not perform as well as
before, we advise replacing the blade or making it sharpens
. The use may be compromised by the presence

of electrical contacts that are unclean.

GUARANTEE
The clippers are guaranteed for a period of 12 months from the
date of purchase, the guarantee terminates at this time even if the
clippers have not been used. It is therefore advisable to keep the
proof of purchase (receipt and original packaging).
The guarantee is applicable for normal conditions of use and not
intensive, on clean materials with regular maintenance of all parts.
If the clippers are used more intensively, use the more powerful
models from the STAR UNIVERSAL range.
The guarantee covers all mechanical and electrical manufacturing
defects.
The replacement or repairs of parts that are subject to normal wear,
such as the blades, power cable, are therefore excluded.
Any repairs made during the guarantee period do not result in a
prolongation of the latter.
The guarantee is not valid if the machine has been opened or
damaged as a result of negligence, inexperience, or during
transport.
The replacements or repairs covered by the guarantee are free of
charge by sending the machine directly, in its original packaging,
with proof of purchase to:
