play with the device.
b) General safety instructions
• Unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not permitted for
safety and approval reasons.
• Maintenance, adjustments or repairs may only be carried out by a specialist/spe-
cialised workshop. There are no components for you to adjust or maintain within
the device.
• Do not allow people who have not fully read and understood this manual to oper-
ate the product.
• The product must not get damp or wet.
• When the product is brought from a cold into a warm room (e.g., during transport),
condensation water may form. This could damage the product and poses a fire
hazard.
Therefore, wait until the product has reached room temperature before using it. In
some cases, this may take several hours.
• Do not place any containers containing liquid, e.g., buckets, vases or plants in
the immediate proximity of the product. Liquids may seep into the casing and
thus impair the electrical safety of the device. There is furthermore a danger of
fire and explosion!
• Do not place a naked flame such as burning candles next to the device.
• Never operate the product in the vicinity of combustible or inflammable liquids or
gases, air/gas mixtures (gasoline vapours) or easily inflammable solids. There is
a risk of fire and explosion!
• The product is only suitable for use in temperate, not tropical, climates.

cialised workshop. There are no components for you to adjust or maintain within
the device.
• Do not allow other people who have not fully read and understood this manual to
operate the product.
c) Handling, operation
• When handling the battery, do not wear metallic or conductive materials, such as
jewellery (chains, bracelets, rings, etc.). Keep the battery away from metal objects
(e.g., screws, nails, paper clips, etc.), as they may cause a short circuit in the bat-
tery contacts. A short circuit of the battery contacts may cause burns and pose a
risk of fire and explosion!
• Use the battery only with the battery-powered electronic equipment that form part
of the system. Using the battery for different tools or devices, poses a risk of fire
and explosion.
• Do not use in the immediate vicinity of strong magnetic or electromagnetic fields,
transmitter aerials or HF generators. This can affect the electrical control system
inside the battery.
• The battery is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children! Keep the
rechargeable battery out of the reach of children.
• Batteries must never be short-circuited, taken apart or thrown into fire. There is a
risk of fire and explosion!
• Liquid may leak from the battery if it becomes damaged, used improperly or obso-
lescence. This can cause skin irritation or chemical burns.
Use suitable protective gloves, if this is the case. Avoid direct skin contact; do not
bring the liquid in contact with the eyes.
In case of accidental contact, rinse affected skin areas with plenty of clear, luke-
warm water; also in the event of eye contact.
In case of eye contact (or even severe skin irritation) seek medical attention.
• Liquids leaking from batteries are chemically very aggressive. Objects or surfaces
coming into contact with these liquids may be severely damaged. Thus, store bat-
teries in a suitable location.
• The battery should not be damp or wet; protect the battery from cold, heat and
sunlight. Failure to do so will not only reduce the life of the battery; it may also
damage it. In addition, in extreme cases, it poses a risk of explosion!
• Do not place any objects on the battery.
d) Charging
• Use only the charger associated with the system to charge the batteries. If charg-
ers are used other than those recommended by us, it poses a high risk that the
battery may catch alight or explode!
• Before recharging the battery, observe the charger operating instructions.
• Never charge the rechargeable battery unattended.
• The battery heats up during charging and also during high discharges. Therefore,
it is necessary to ensure adequate ventilation.
• The battery only fits in one way in the charger or the battery-powered electronic
device. Never use force when inserting the battery.
• Do not charge the battery while it is still hot (e.g., caused by the use of the device).
Allow the battery to cool down to room temperature before attempting to recharge it.
• Never charge a damaged, leaking or deformed rechargeable battery. This can
result in a fire or explosion! Dispose of a battery that has become unusable in this
way in an environmentally friendly manner; do not use it again.
• An unused Li-ion battery usually retains its energy for several months, but a deep
discharge will permanently damage the battery and will make it unusable.
If the battery is stored for a long time, please note:
- Remove the battery from the device.
- Choose a dry and cool place to store the battery.
- When storing a battery for a prolonged period, it is best that it is not fully charged;
the optimal charge should be between 50% and 75%.
- Regularly check the charge and recharge the battery if necessary.
