Safety instructions
The unit must only be used with special cooling fluid (atoxic polypropylene glycol)! The working temperature of the
cooing is -20°/-25° C. If other products that are not sufficiently fluid are used, both the motor and the cooling
group can be damaged! If any cooling fluid gets into the bottle (when the bottles are dripped dry), it is completely
hazard-free.
Never turn the unit on without cooling fluid! It can cause permanent damage to the cooling unit.
NOTE : the cooling fluid has a temperature of -25° C. Freeze-burns and permanent freezing injuries are possible!
Never stick your fingers or other body parts in the cooled fluid, not even to remove contaminants!
Never place any objects beside the correct bottles in the bottle openings.
Never use the unit for any other purpose and never use it without the cover plate that comes with it.
Use
- Place both plugs in the electrical outlet.
- Fill the cooling receptacle with enough cooling fluid to completely cover the part of the bottleneck that you want
to freeze.
- Never turn the motor off if the cooling is still on!
- The compressor of the cooler pushes the gas through the copper cooling element. The stirring element is used to
keep the temperature of the glycol even.
Setting the temperature
- Set the desired temperature with the thermostat button at the bottom of the unit. The temperature will normally
be set at -20/-25° C.
Adjusting the temperature
-> Press strongly on the P button for 5 seconds. The display will show the temperature immediately.
-> Use the arrows to change the temperature.
-> Press on "P" again to store the new temperature setting. It will be stored automatically if you have not pressed
any buttons for 10 seconds.
NOTE : if you press on the "U" button, all stored parameters will be erased.
Time
The ideal temperature is -20/-25° C. Depending on the ambient temperature and the temperature of the cooling
fluid, it can take from 1 to 3 hours before the cooling fluid reaches the right temperature. After the fluid reaches
the right temperature, the thermostat will shut the cooling motor off.
After the desired temperature has been reached, you can start freezing the bottlenecks. Depending on the alcohol
percentage, the model of the bottle and the temperature of the bottles, it can take several minutes (3 to 6) before
the bottleneck has been properly frozen. Experience will teach you how long you have to wait.
Each bottleneck should be placed in the cooling unit for the same length of time. Do not remove all of the bottles
from the container at once, but work in a star pattern.
When the work has been completed and you take the plug from the cooling group out, allow the motor to continue
running for several minutes. Only empty the unit if the temperature of the cooling fluid is above zero (0° C).
Maintenance
Never placed abrasive products in the cooling unit. Cleaning with a damp cloth is sufficient. Never place sharp
objects in the cooling unit or against the cooling pipes! Never cover the unit completely in fluid!
Although we do not recommend doing so, you may dilute the glycol with water. For a working temperature of -
20/-25° C, you can dilute up to approximately half. You will thereby approach the freezing point of the glycol! If
you thin the glycol too much, you risk ice-formation in the cooling unit.
This unit is equipped with a quality cooling group from Electrolux. If you have any unexpected problems with the
cooling group, any qualified refrigerator repair technician will be able to assist you.
