Getting Started
Step 1: Install Batteries
1. Remove the battery compartment door from the back of the
radio by pressing on the door and sliding it off.
2. Insert 2 AA batteries (not included) into the battery compart-
ment. Make sure you match the + and – markings in the com-
partment.
3. Slide the battery compartment door back into place.
BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium)
batteries.
• Always remove old, weak or worn-out batteries promptly and recycle or dispose of
them in accordance with Local and National Regulations.
• If this radio is inactive for a long period of time, remove all batteries and store them in
a cool and dry place
• DO NOT expose batteries to heat, or internal short circuit may occur.
Step 2: Turn on the Radio
1. Move the FM/AM/OFF switch on the left side of the radio to the
band you want to listen to, FM or AM.
2. Adjust the volume with the volume knob on the right side of the
radio.
3. Tune to a radio station by slowly turning the tuning knob on the
radio's right side.
4. For private listening, connect the headphones into the PHONE
jack on the radio's left side. IMPORTANT: Turn the radio volume
all the way down before you put the headphones on. Then
gradually increase volume to the desired level once you've put
the headphones on.
RECEPTION TIPS
• For best FM reception, extend the telescoping antenna. Tilt and turn the radio to point the antenna toward the broadcast source.
• For best AM reception, you can leave the antenna collapsed. The radio has an internal antenna for AM reception.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Use a slightly damp, lint-free cloth to clean the radio DO NOT use benzene, thinners or any abrasive powder to clean the radio .
Wipe it with a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap and water solution .
2. This product is not intended for commercial use. Household use only .
3. Keep away from temperatures over 60°C ( 140°F). The radio's internal parts may be damaged by heat. DO NOT expose to direct
sunlight for a long period of time. The casing may become deformed and performance may deteriorate.
4. DO NOT place the product near strong magnets such as those used in radio , television sets, speaker boxes, etc., as these may
interfere with reception. The radio's speaker contains a strong magnet. Keep it away from magnetized cards, watches, etc.
5. DO NOT drop or expose to strong impact. DO NOT expose the radio.
6. When using indoors, place the radio near a window to obtain the best possible reception. Reception may be difficult in a tunnel or
subway. Also note that operating the radio on a metal object may adversely affect reception .

Étape 1 : Installation des piles

Étape 2 : Activer la radio

1. Déplacer le commutateur FM/AM/OFF situé sur le côté gauche

4. Pour une écoute privée, brancher les écouteurs dans la prise

IMPORTANT : Baisser complètement le volume de la
radio avant de mettre les écouteurs. Augmenter ensuite
progressivement le volume jusqu'au niveau souhaité une fois
que les écouteurs sont mis.
CONSEILS DE RÉCEPTION
• Pour une meilleure réception FM, déployer l'antenne télescopique. Incliner et tourner la radio pour pointer l'antenne vers la source
de diffusion.
• Pour une meilleure réception AM, vous pouvez laisser l'antenne repliée. La radio possède une antenne interne pour la réception AM.
ENTRETIEN ET MAINTENANCE
1. Utiliser un chiffon légèrement humide et non pelucheux pour nettoyer la radio. NE PAS utiliser de benzène, de diluants ou de
poudre abrasive pour la nettoyer. L'essuyer avec un chiffon doux humidifié avec une solution d'eau et de savon doux.
2. Ce produit n'est pas destiné à un usage commercial. Usage domestique uniquement.
3. Tenir à l'écart de températures supérieures à 60 °C (140 °F). Les parties internes de la radio peuvent être endommagées
par la chaleur. NE PAS exposer à la lumière directe du soleil pendant une longue période. Le boîtier peut se déformer et les
performances peuvent se détériorer.
4. NE PAS placer le produit à proximité d'aimants puissants tels que ceux utilisés dans les radios, les télévisions, les enceintes de
haut-parleurs, etc. car ceux-ci peuvent interférer avec la réception. Le haut-parleur de la radio contient un aimant puissant. Le tenir
à l'écart des cartes magnétiques, des montres, etc.
5. NE PAS laisser tomber la radio ou l'exposer à un choc violent. NE PAS exposer la radio.
6. Lorsque la radio est utilisée à l'intérieur, la placer près d'une fenêtre pour obtenir la meilleure réception possible. La réception
peut être difficile dans un tunnel ou un métro. Remarque : l'utilisation de la radio sur un objet métallique peut nuire à la réception.
