PROFESSIONAL WORK TENTS
2. WORK TENT
2.1 STANCHION
The stanchions come in one size only. They are easy to recognise, being the L-shaped elements with
hinges and connection pieces.
2.2 TARP
The tarp comes in three different sizes. To pick the right size, simply pick the tarp that has the same
length as your platform.
2.3 CONNECTIVE STRUTS
There are two types of struts, standard ones and connective ones. The connective struts are slightly
shorter than the platform. They are equipped with clamps to attach them to the tent' s stanchions. The
connective struts are secured on both ends using safety clips. Make sure to attach these clips from the
outside in, to prevent them from damaging the tarp. Never use tools when removing the struts. If the
struts do not attach properly, check whether the scaffold is actually level.
2.4 STRUT
A 'standard' strut has the exact same length as the platform. The struts have clamps at both ends with
which to attach them to the scaffold frame. These struts are intended for underneath the tarp, in the
event that none of the scaffold' s railing struts happen to be at the right height. The clamps at the ends
will click shut automatically. To remove the struts, impress the pin and lift the strut off. Make sure to
check the clamps' functioning regularly. Never use tools when removing the struts. If the struts do not
attach properly, check whether the scaffold is actually level.
2.5 SPANFIX
The spanfixes are made of elastic and are used to stretch the tarp tautly on the underside.
2.6 DOUBLE SWIVEL JOINT
The double swivel joint is made out of nylon and has an inner diameter of 51 cm. As such, it fits exactly
around the work tent' s stanchion and the scaffold frame, preventing damage to the aluminium. The
swivel joint ensures that the tent frames can be mounted vertically onto the scaffold frames.
