Additional Operating Instructions and Tips
•
Remember that this appliance intended to warm food, not cook it.
•
Maintain all cooked foods at a minimum of 60˚C / 140˚F to help prevent any food
borne illness. It is recommended to regularly check the temperature of the food
with a food thermometer whilst serving.
•
As food will vary in consistency, it may be necessary to adjust the controls accord-
ingly to maintain a temperature of 60°C / 140˚F. Likewise, you may need to adjust
the temperature to avoid over or under-heating the pre-cooked food.
•
Temperatures may fluctuate as the food is being served.
•
Food should not be left on the warmer for an extended period of time, especially if
it is not covered. Recommended max time is 2-3 hours.
•
Fill dishes no more than two-thirds full to help prevent hot food spillages.
•
Never move or lift the heated base while dishes or containers are still on the
warming tray!
•
Use suitable containers such as stainless steel, cast iron, ceramic, or glass.
•
The max temperature for this surface is 110˚C / 230˚F. Ensure that any containers
used can withstand heat beyond this temperature. Likewise, make sure that the
surface the unit is placed on can withstand this temperature. Otherwise, a heat
resistant mat or coaster will need to be used to avoid damaging the surface or
causing a safety hazard.
•
Lids may be used on the containers, but do not cover the surface of the product
with anything other than containers designed for heating/warming food.
