• Full seven day alarm is provided to allow the user to set different times (if desired) on the
alarm for different days of the week.The factory programmed time for all seven days is 07:00am.
• Text Display shows Year, Month, Date, Day and Time, as well as MP3 title and artist.
The day of week and Leap years are automatically calculated.
• Option to select between various languages. (English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Flemish, Swedish,
Norwegian, Danish).
• LCD contrast and backlight adjustment.
IMPORTANT Safety Instructions
• NEVER immerse the clock or the wiring of the clock in water.
• Do NOT attempt to replace the light bulb in the unit whilst the mains power supply is connected or
plugged in. Remember the dawn simulator will retain all settings and maintain the operating clock for
many hours even if there is no power supply to the clock.
• Use ONLY normal tungsten light/lamp bulbs in the Sunrise System. Do NOT use power saving bulbs,
non-standard bulbs or low voltage bulbs in the dawn simulator.
• Do NOT cover the lamp at any time. Risk of fire! The Sunrise System lamp is designed with ventilation
slots for cooling, these must not be covered at any time!
• Use Max 60W bulb only! Maximum temperature on the top of the cabinet with a 60W bulb is
approximately 50 degrees C.
BUTTONS
Menu Button
This button is used to scroll through the menu mode and the many options.
< > Buttons
In MENU mode these < > buttons are used to scroll through the sub menus, and in MP3 Mode they are
used to skip back and forward through the tracks.
Up/Down Buttons
These are used to dim the light up and down to the desired level.
Alarm Button
This button activates or de-activates the Alarm and Sunset. When the Alarm button is pressed the display
will show ALARM ON - the alarm is now enabled.The current alarm time and day of the week will show
for approximately 2 seconds before reverting back to the present time.The alarm clock symbol will be
illuminated. If the button is pressed again the alarm will be disabled, the display will show ALARM OFF and
the alarm clock symbol will disappear. If the lamp has started to fade up the lamp will remain on at the
same brightness level as when the alarm button was pressed. NOTE: If the alarm is on, some features will
become locked out (not in use). If the MP3 player is on when the alarm button is pressed (Alarm activated)
the music or sounds will play during the sunset time and then switch off.
Snooze Button
When the Sunrise System is in NORMAL mode (Alarm Off) this button will switch the lamp either ON or
OFF. This can be used at night to quickly illuminate the room. If the light is already on, pressing snooze will
switch the light off. During a Sunrise, pressing the snooze button will switch the lamp off and the sunrise
time will then start again for the remaining sunrise period. E.g: If the sunrise time is set for 30 minutes and
the snooze button is pressed after only 8 minutes, the lamp will switch off and then 'fade up' over the
remaining 22 minutes. If the Sunrise System is in Alarm Mode, the alarm is sounding or the MP3 is playing,
and the light is on, this button activates the snooze mode. When the Alarm sounds (buzzer or MP3) and
the lamp is at full brightness:

'Down' button
(for dimming lamp manually)
Press the snooze button momentarily and the buzzer or MP3 player will stop.The lamp will go off.
After 9 minutes the buzzer or MP3 will sound again.
To exit the snooze mode, simply press the alarm button and the display will show ALARM OFF for a few
seconds and Snooze is de-activated.
Setting Up the Sunrise System
The first time the Sunrise System dawn simulator is switched on, the LCD display will flash ON and OFF;
the time shown will be 13:00, indicating that the time is not set.
NOTE: When altering the settings ensure the ALARM symbol is not visible, as you cannot alter the settings
with the alarm switched on.The unit will come out of SETUP MODE automatically if no button is pressed
for 12 seconds or if you press the SNOOZE button.
Setting the Language
Press the MENU button, the display will show LANGUAGE and the current language will be displayed
(English).You can change the language by using the < or > skip forward and backwards buttons to select
the language of your choice. Press Menu to continue.
Setting the Time
Press the MENU button until the display shows CLOCK, the current time will also be displayed.You can
now adjust the time by using the < or > buttons. If you press and hold < or > the time will fast reverse or
fast forward. Press EQ to select 12 or 24 hour display mode. The clock will start when you next press
MENU to adjust the next setting or press snooze to go out of setup mode. Press Menu to continue.
Setting the Alarm Time
Press the MENU button repeatedly until the display shows ALARM TIME, MONDAY, the current Monday
alarm time will be displayed, you can now adjust the Monday alarm time by using < or >. Once the
Monday alarm time is set press the Menu button again and repeat the action for the other days of the
week. Press Menu to continue.
Alarm Time
If the time between the time set and the Alarm time is less than the combined Sunrise and Sunset time the
alarm cannot be activated and the display will show ALARM TIME when you press the Alarm Set button.
