10. Operation
a) Insert the batteries
b). For the first time, wait 10 minutes
c). If it is not used for a long time, the thermometer detects the ambient temperature
first so that switching on may still take one or two seconds.
d). Focus against the forehead and hold at a distance of 5 to 8 cm. Then press the
button to start the test. The test data are displayed within one second. Make sure that
no hair, sweat, cosmetics or hat cover the forehead. (See figure below)
11. Setting
a). Setting the temperature format --- F1
Keep "MODE" pressed for 3 seconds until F1 is displayed on the screen. Press , to
select °C and  for °F
b). Alarm temperature setting --- F2
Keep "MODE" pressed for 3 seconds until F1 is shown in the screen display and then
press "MODE" again to access F2. Then press  to increase the alarm temperature
by 0.1 °C (0.1 °F) and press , to reduce it by 0.1 °C (0.1 °F). Attention: The default
alarm temperature is 38.0 °C (100.4 °F)
c). Buzzer ON / OFF --- F3
Press the "MODE 3" button for 3 seconds until F1 is displayed on the screen. Then
press "MODE" twice to call up F3. Thereafter, press  to deactivate the buzzer (a
sound icon disappears) and press  to activate the buzzer (a sound icon is shown on
the LCD screen).
d). Switching off
Press and hold the "Light icon" button until the device is switched off.
This product is specialised for testing the body temperature of humans so that the
temperature range displayed is between 32.0 °C and 43.0 °C (89.0 °F and 108.0 °F).
e). Setting the measuring mode
Press the "MODE" button for the human body and conversion of the surface mode.
Under the mode of the Surface temperature measurement, the range is: 0.0 ~ 100.0
°C (32.0 °F - 108.0 °F)
