SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using this machine follow these safety precautions to reduce risk of fire, electric shock, or injury.
Electrical
1.
The fan should be placed near an electrical outlet so that the outlet is easily accessible.
2.
Check to ensure that the electrical service being used is adequate for the model you've chosen. The
electrical rating of your new fan is defined on the serial sticker of the unit. Please refer to the rating
when checking electrical requirements to ensure they meet the electrical codes of your location.
3.
Do not operate if the electrical plug or power cord is damaged.
4.
Do not under any circumstances alter the electric plug in anyway.
5.
Do not pour water on the housing or control panel. Do not permit liquid to get inside the appliance.
6.
Ensure that the power cord is inserted properly into the electrical outlet.
7.
Do not run the cord under carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar
coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic areas and where it will not be tripped over.
8.
Do not use this appliance with any extension cords or adapter plugs.
9.
Do not use this appliance with any solid-state speed control devices.
10. Do not pull on the cable to unplug.
11. Turn off the power when unattended or not in use.
12. This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit
situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet. Replace the fuse as per the user
servicing instructions (follow product marking for proper fuse rating) and check the product. If the
replacement fuse blows, a short-circuit may be present and the product should be discarded or
returned for examination and/or repair.
13. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug is intended to fit in
a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact Royal Sovereign Customer Service.
