Precautions
Location
Using the unit in the following locations can result in a malfunction.
• In direct sunlight
• Locations of extreme temperature or humidity
• Excessively dusty or dirty locations
• Locations of excessive vibration
• Close to magnetic fields
Power supply
Be sure to turn the power switch to OFF when the unit is not in use. Remove the battery in order to prevent it from
leaking when the unit is not in use for extended periods.
Interference with other electrical devices
Radios and televisions placed nearby may experience reception interference. Operate this unit at a suitable distance
from radios and televisions.
Handling
To avoid breakage, do not apply excessive force to the switches or controls.
Care
If the exterior becomes dirty, wipe it with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners such as benzene or thinner, or
cleaning compounds or flammable polishes.

Keeping foreign matter out of your equipment
Never set any container with liquid in it near this equipment. If liquid gets into the equipment, it could cause a
breakdown, fire, or electrical shock. Be careful not to let metal objects get into the equipment.

INSTALLING THE BATTERY
1. Turn the cap toward the left and remove it.
2. Insert the battery with the positive (+) side up.
3. Press the battery into place, and use the tab to hold it in position.

To avoid damaging the unit, don't use excessive force when inserting the
battery.
4. Replace the cap.
If nothing appears in the display, the battery may need replacing.
When you replace the battery, you must remove the old battery and then hold
down the Mode button for a few seconds before installing the new battery.
REMOVING THE BATTERY
1. Turn the cap toward the left and remove it.
2. Hold the MM-2 with both hands as shown in the diagram.
3. Use your thumb to push up the tab that holds the battery in position and
remove the battery.

To avoid damaging the unit, don't use excessive force when pushing the tab.
PLACING THE MM-2 ON YOUR EAR
1. Hold the MM-2 with the display facing your palm and raise the ear hook.
2. Place the ear hook around your ear.
The most stable position will depend on the shape and size of your ear. Adjust
the angle to find the position that is most comfortable for you.
3. Make sure that your earlobe is within the ear hook and gently fold the MM-2
back against your ear.

ABOUT THE EAR HOOK
If the ear hook needs to be cleaned, carefully
remove it and gently wipe it with a soft cloth.
EXCHANGING THE COLOR SHEET
The sheet inside the cap can be changed to a different color.
1. Turn the cap towards the left and remove it.
2. Turn the cap over, align the cutouts in the color sheet
with the tabs of the cap and press the new color sheet
into place.

Ear hook
1. Press and hold the Mode switch for two seconds.
The power will turn on, and the MM-2 will be in Tempo mode.
2. To adjust the tempo, press the Up or Down buttons.

3. To adjust the volume, move the volume control.
Adjust the volume for comfortable listening. You will still hear some sound even
when the volume control is in the minimum position.
4. To change the beat, press the Mode switch. The MM-2 will change to Beat
mode.
Press the Up switch or Down switch to change the beat.
To return to Tempo mode, press the Mode switch once again.
5. To turn off the power, press and hold the Mode switch for two seconds.
To protect your hearing, avoid using the metronome at high volumes for
an extended period of time.
* If the display does not appear correct, remove the battery, hold down the Mode
switch for one or two seconds, and then reinstall the battery.
