Installation and Connection
Pay attention to the information in chapter "Preparations for Installa-
tion"!
1
A correctly sized cut-out in the ceiling is necessary for installation. Refer to chapter
"Technical data". Pay attention to the correct installation dimensions!
2 Measure the thickness of the material (thickness of ceiling panel) at the location
for installation.
3 Set the value measured in step 2 for both lateral L-brackets.
4 Insert the outer frame of the light into the ceiling cut-out (remove the lamp in-
sert from the outer frame before doing this). Make sure that the edge of the outer
frame is fl ush with the ceiling panel.
5 Secure the outer frame to the ceiling panel using at least 4 screws.
6 If necessary, the installation depth of the outer frame must be corrected again so
the edge of the outer frame is fl ush with the ceiling panel. Loosen the Allen screws
on the L-bracket to make the adjustments. Fix the inside hexagonal screws after
the outer frame is fl ush with the surface of the ceiling panel.
7
Fill the screw holes and the outer frame in the ceiling panel with a suitable fi ller.
8 After the fi ller has dried completely, the ceiling panel can be painted in the desired
colour.
9 Connect the light insert and the terminal clamp on the top to the output of the
halogen transformer via a suitable connection cable with the correct cross-section.
Use the heat-resistant protective tubing enclosed.
Then, place the light insert into the outer frame.
10 Lock the light insert in the outer frame by turning the four retaining brackets by
90° using a suitable screw driver.
11 Insert the bulb (see following chapter).
12 Done!
Inserting/replacing the bulb
Attention, risk of burns!
Before you replace a faulty bulb, switch off the lamp and wait until the faulty
bulb and the lamp have cooled down suffi ciently.
Do not touch the bulb with your bare hands, use a suitable cloth.
• The cable shoes on the connection cables have to be
screwed to the bulb (QRB111/G53).
• Insert the bulb into the light; the bulb is held in the light
by metal springs.
To remove the bulb, press it out of the holder from the
back.
• Switch on the light's power supply and check that the
new bulb is working.

Adjusting the bulb's light beam
Using the light's pivoting system, each refl ector can be aligned to illuminate the sur-
face desired.
Caution!
Never pivot the bulb system so far that the light beam is directed at the light
housing; there is a risk of overheating and fi re!
Maintain the minimum distance as specifi ed on the lamp between the light
outlet and illuminated surfaces, risk of fi re!
Depending on the illuminated surface/material, greater distances must be
kept, otherwise, discolouration or material deterioration may result!
Maintenance and Care
• The product does not need any maintenance except the replacement of the light
bulb.
• Switch off the light or disconnect it from the mains before cleaning. After that, allow
suffi cient time for the lamp to cool down.
• The exterior of the light should only be wiped with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Do not use
aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions that could damage the housing
(discolouring) or impair operation.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Disposal
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statu-
tory regulations.
