Application range:
DC – DC Voltage converter with ignition plus
function for the supplying 12V devices from
a 24V vehicle supply system
Installation:
1. Identify suitable connection points for the
converter. Permanent plus (30) and igni-
tion (switched) plus (15) must be connect-
ed to the converter.
2. Install converter in a suitable location (no
de-icing salt, no ambient heat source and
not totally enclosed).
3. Disconnect battery.
4. Use cables with sufficient cross section.
Input minimum 1mm
. The input cable

for the ignition positive (clp. 15) may be
weaker because it is only carrying control
current. Output cross section minimum
1.5mm². With a length of more then 2m,
use higher.
5. Insert a fuse into the input line (allocated
to the rated current – input min. 6A). Oth-
erwise damaged cables may cause short
circuit and cable fire. Always insert fuses
as close as possible to the battery or con-
nect to a present fused line. In switched
(ignition, clp. 15) lines, take care of the
allocated fuse and select the correct wire
cross section.

6. Crimp attached connectors carefully using
suitable tools and insert them in the cor-
rect position in the isolation body.
7. Check that the connection is correct!
Caution! Accidental interchange of input
and output may damage the converter!
Plug the converter. Don't plug or unplug
the converter when the power is on!
8. Connect the battery.
Caution:
While connecting the converter to the 24V
battery there will be a spark charging the in-
put capacitor of the converter! If you intend
to measure the current value of the conver-
ter, start with the highest range of meter rat-
ed at several amperes and then switch down.
The current consumption will level out with-
in one second at 0.7mA if the output is un-
loaded.
