8.3 Installation
a) Adjusting the working height: position
the tripod on a flat surface and, for each
extendible leg (C):
- Remove the locking pin (D2) and
remove the connecting pin (D1) from
the hole (G/G1) - fig. 3.
- Pull the inner tube (C1) out as far as
the hole that determines the working
height chosen (fig. 4).
- Align the hole in the inner tube (G2
or G3) with that in the outer tube (G).
Important: the 3 legs (C) must be
adjusted to the same height.
- Insert the connecting pin (D1) into the
hole (G/G...), and secure it using the
locking pin (D2).
b) Stand the tripod up vertically, and spread
the legs (C) outwards, until the cable (E)
is taut – fig. 5.
c) Position the tripod so that the top plate is
in the centre of the passage space (well,
manhole) - fig. 5.
WARNING
The support surface for the tripod
must be flat, stable and be able
to withstand the maximum load
transmitted
to
indicated in point 8.1.

The following can be connected to the
anchoring points (B), also simultaneously:
- Flexible anchoring lines
- Safety lines
- Working lines
- Evacuation / emergency lines
- Retention devices and/or systems
- Positioning devices and/or systems
- Fall-prevention devices and/or systems
