DESCRIPTION

USB 20 or radical solution to eliminate Buzz between PC and mixer.
USB20 is an external sound card that allows you to retrieve the audio digitally on your PC
and to convert balanced (with a very high level of +18dBu) or unbalanced analog signal.
You all know the problem when you connect your computer to a mixer there is often a very
unpleasant Buzz. This is even more present with a LabTop .
The reason is simple, a ground loop is created between the mixer and the PC, on the one
hand by the audio link and on the other hand by the power cord 3 poles.
If you unplug the PC power supply buzz disappears, but unfortunately you may run out of
battery. Some insulate the earth, but we must never do that because there are risks (the
frame of the equipment is connected to the earth for your protection).
USB20 is fitted with internal insulators, for both the 5 volts and the Data+ and Data-
connections, which overcome this ground loop. This technique is derived from medical
equipment.
