Explanation of symbols
The lightning symbol inside a triangle is used when there is a potential risk of personal injury,
such as electric shock.
An exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important instructions in this operating manual that
absolutely have to be observed.
The arrow symbol indicates specific tips and advice on operation.
Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information.
If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this
manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property.
Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.

• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm
one. The condensation generated could destroy the product. The plug-in power supply unit
also involves danger to life by electric shock! Allow the product to reach room temperature
before connecting it to the power supply and putting it to use. This may take several hours.
• Make sure the insulation of the whole product is neither damaged nor destroyed. The housing
must not be opened! There are no serviceable parts inside the housing.

Overview
Operation
Check the product for damage before each use! If you detect any damage, DO NOT connect the
product to the power supply! There may be danger of life involved!
• Connect the night-light to a power socket.
The night-light must directly be connected to a power socket in the wall. Never use any extension
cables!
• Select one of the three possible operation modes using the "MOTION/ON/PHOTO" slide switch:
"MOTION" switch setting
• A built-in PIR motion detector switches the night-light on when a movement is detected and switches it off
after approx. 90 seconds. An additional twilight sensor prevents the night-light from being activated during
the day in daylight hours. For this reason, we recommend conducting a function test at twilight or at night!
The motion detection of the PIR motion detector is based on a heat difference between a moving
person and the ambient temperature (or a sufficiently large animal).
Do not point the PIR sensor directly to heaters or windows, as well as do not expose it to direct
sunlight.
• Please bear in mind that a warming up time of about one minute is necessary for the operation in the
"MOTION" mode (after being plugged in to an electrical outlet). During this time, the PIR sensor in the
night-light is adjusting to the ambient temperature. Only then does the PIR sensor work properly.
"ON" switch setting
• The night-light is continuously on. You can use this function, e. g., for the emergency lighting of a staircase.
"PHOTO" switch setting
• The built-in twilight sensor automatically activates the night-light if the ambient brightness is lower than the
pre-set threshold (e. g. in the evening). The night-light is automatically switched off again when it gets light.
Care and cleaning
• Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning.
• Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as they can cause
damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
• Clean the product with a dry, fiber-free cloth.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
