When the temperature remains the same, the base station sends a signal to the receiver every
30 seconds. If the temperature changes by more than 1 °C, the temperature is immediately
updated. When the base station sends a wireless signal, the function indicator on the front of the
base station flashes.
The device measures temperatures in the range from 0 - 250 °C (32 - 482 °F). If the temperature
falls below this range, LLL appears in the display. If the temperature rises above the measure-
ment range, HHH appears in the display.
• Insert the temperature probe in the thickest part of the barbecued food that contains no fat, bones or
cartilage.
• Select the desired temperature unit (°C or °F) using the MODE button.
a) Barbecued food type/degree of doneness mode
In this mode, an alarm is triggered when the temperature, set according to barbecued food type and degree
of doneness, is reached.
• Select the barbecued food type on the receiver with the MEAT button.
• Select the degree of doneness on the receiver with the TASTE button.
• The target temperature is shown in the temperature indicator of the display under TARGET TEMP.
• The following settings and target temperatures can be called up:

The selection of barbecued food type shown in the display plays no role in this mode.
• Press and hold the MODE key for 3 seconds, until the TARGET TEMP display flashes.
• Set the desired TARGET TEMP with the MIN and SEC buttons.
• Press the MODE button to confirm your entry.
• Press the MODE button to turn off the alarm temporarily when the target temperature is reached.

c) Timer mode
Both a countdown mode (time counts backward) and a count-up mode (time counts forward) are
possible.
Countdown mode
• Set the desired time period with the MIN and SEC buttons. MIN adjusts the minutes and SEC the seconds.
The max. time that can be set is 99 minutes and 59 seconds.
• Press the S/S button to start the countdown timer.

Before cleaning, switch off the base station and the receiver (bring both POWER switches
to the OFF position) and let the insertion probe cool off.
Apart from replacing the battery, the wireless grill thermometer requires no maintenance.
The insertion probe should be cleaned thoroughly after every use with warm water and some dish detergent.
The base station and the receiver should be cleaned only with a soft, dry or slightly moistened cloth. The base
station and receiver must never be immersed in water or other liquids.
Never use abrasive cleaning agents or chemical solutions, as these could damage the surfaces of the
housings.

a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable material and must not be disposed of in the household waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current statutory
requirements.
Remove any inserted battery and dispose of it separately from the product.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Regulation) to return used batteries and rechargeable
batteries. Do not dispose of used batteries in the household waste!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with the symbol shown to indicate that disposal
with household waste is forbidden. The symbols of the critical heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium,
Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (marking can be seen on the battery/rechargeable battery, e.g., under-
neath the refuse bin symbol shown on the left).
You can return your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the official collection points of
your community, in our stores, or at places where batteries or rechargeable batteries are sold!
You thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
