This product may only be charged with the mains adapter (model
no.: SD-G0900500D) or car adapter (model no: YL003) provided.
Please be aware that while the mains adapter or the car adapter
is plugged in, it uses a small amount of power, even when the
product is not switched on. Unplug the mains adapter or the car
adapter from the socket to stop using it.
The mains adapter

The illuminant is not replaceable.
If the illuminant fails at the end of its life, the entire product must
be replaced.

Before use

Charging the product

Note: You can charge the product from an ordinary domestic mains
power outlet or from the cigarette lighter socket in your vehicle.
Tip: We recommend that you charge the product from an ordinary
domestic mains power outlet to avoid draining your vehicle's battery.
CAUTION! Do not connect the product to the cigarette lighter socket
of your vehicle if the vehicle battery is old or degraded. Failure to
observe this advice may result in your vehicle's engine not starting.
Note: To use the product without an adapter, you must first charge the
integral rechargeable batteries. It takes 5–7 hours to charge the inte-
gral batteries. The rechargeable batteries are permanently installed
in the handle of the product.
Note: Charge the product for approximately 12 hours before first use.
Note: Charge the product at least once a month, if it is to remain
unused for an extended period of time.
Note: If the product has not been charged for an extended period
of time (approx. 2 months), you could find that the integral recharge-
able batteries have entered a dormant state. Charge and discharge
the product a number of times in succession to reactivate the integral
rechargeable batteries.
