Install the BlackFlash at the desired location. This should, however, not be in any gre-
ater distance than 50ft from the transmitter/camera team. Press the TEST button. The
TRANSMIT LED should lighten up in full brightness to make sure the transmission is flaw-
less and the distance is not too great.
For applying a setup containing several flashes you will need only one transmitter that is
set to the same WORK GROUP than all used flashes.
In case you already use another external wired IR flash, you can use that as a "master"
and the other as "slave" device: connect the IR-OUT to the IR-IN to cascade - and thus, to
guarantee most effectful IR illumination.
You can cascade up to a chain of 4 "slave" flash devices on one "master" flash device.
•
Bring a camera, a transmitter and at least one flash unit in position.
•
Slide the POWER switch to TEST position and open the transmitter cover. Then press the
TEST button on the transmitter. You will see both the TRANSMIT indicator on transmitter
top and the DISTANCE TEST LED on booster will be TURNED ON at the same time. If DIS-
TANCE indicator on the booster is OFF or always blinking, it means a control signal on this
booster may be very weak where it might be too far away from the transmitter.
Try to move it back to the camera
closely. If there is no any response
even they are already near by, you
have to check the Power SW and Bat-
tery installation as well as the security
code setting. Also, you must be sure
the WORK GROUP code switch on both
transmitter and booster with the ex-
actly same setting by observing each
relative knobs are at same location.
After finish self-test, remember to sli-
de the PW switch to OFF
