About Bluetooth
Bluetooth is a short-range wireless radio con-
nectivity technology that is developed as a
cable replacement for mobile phones, hand-
held PCs and other devices. Bluetooth oper-
ates in 2.4 GHz frequency range and transmits
voice and data at speeds up to 1 megabit per
second. Bluetooth was launched by a special
interest group (SIG) that comprises of Ericsson
Inc., Intel Corp., Nokia Corp., Toshiba and IBM
in 1998, and it is currently developed by nearly
2 000 companies worldwide.

Resetting this unit
CAUTION
Pressing RESET button of this unit with the igni-
tion switch ON (ACC ON) erasing the contents of
the unit's memory.
Resetting this unit without
erasing the data about phone
Pressing RESET button of this unit lets you
reset the unit to its initial settings without
erasing the data about phone. However the
value of the following settings are cleared:
! PHONEBOOK NAME VIEW

! AUTO ANSWER
! REFUSE ALL CALLS
! RING TONE
! AUTO CONNECT
! ECHO CANCEL
When using as an external unit, the value of
the following settings are cleared:
! automatic answering
! automatic connection
! ring tone
This unit must be reset under the following
conditions:
! Prior to using this unit for the first time
after installation
! When this unit and the head unit are re-
connected
! If the unit fails to operate properly
! When strange or incorrect messages ap-
pear on the display
! If there appear to be problems with the op-
eration of the Hands-free Phoning function

pointed instrument.

clearing all memory
To protect personal and private information,
data about the phone stored in this unit can
be deleted.
