Troubleshooting
If the device should stop working properly, first check whether you are able to correct the
problem yourself. Otherwise, contact the customer service department.
Do not try to repair a faulty device yourself!
Problem
The device cannot
be switched on. The
on / off switch does
not light up.
Lumps in the yoghurt.
Liquid on the surface
of the yoghurt.
Yoghurt is too liquid.
Disposal
The packaging can be recycled. Please dispose of it in an environmentally friendly
manner and take it to a recycling centre.
Dispose of the device in an environmentally friendly manner. It should not be disposed
of in the normal domestic waste. Dispose of it at a recycling centre for used electrical
and electronic devices. You can obtain more information from your local authorities.

Possible cause / Solution

Is the plug inserted in the socket correctly?
•
Is the socket defective? Try another socket.
•
Check the fuse of your mains connection.
•
Was the milk too hot or sour?
•
Did you not mix the ingredients together thoroughly?
•
Was the yoghurt in the device for too long?
•
Did you move the jars containing the yoghurt too soon?
•
Was the incubation time too short? With freeze-dried lactic acid
bacteria, the incubation time may be up to 2 hours longer than
when using yoghurt as the starting culture.

Is the milk being used too skimmed?
•
Did the milk and the yoghurt used as starting culture have a
different fat content?
•
Was the yoghurt used as starting culture not fresh enough?
