PRODUCT SETUP

WEB-BASED SETUP
STEP 1
Position your router close to your modem and a computer that is
already online. Place this router in an open area of your intended
work area for better wireless coverage.

STEP 2
Unplug the Ethernet cable from your modem that is connected
to your computer. Plug it into the port labeled INTERNET on the
router.

Connect the supplied power adapter into the power port on the
back of the router and then it plug into a power outlet or surge

protector. Verify the power light is lit.

STEP 3
Plug one end of the included Ethernet cable into the LAN port
labeled 1 on the back of the router. Plug the other end of this cable
into the Ethernet port on your computer.

To set up the DIR-809 through Wi-Fi, connect to a Wi-Fi network
printed on the included Wi-Fi Configuration Card. You can also find
the Wi-Fi Name(SSID) and Password printed on the label attached

to the bottom of your router.
STEP 4
Open a browser on the connected computer. If you are not
automatically directed to the D-Link Setup Wizard, go to
'http://dlinkrouter.local./ or http://192.168.0.1' and follow the onscreen
WELCOME TO THE D-LINK SETUP WIZARD
instructions to configure your DIR-809. Use 'Admin' as your
username and leave the password blank to configure manually.
