Warning!
This is a lifting device only. Load must be supported
by proper rated capacity jack stands under the vehicle
before starting inspection or work. Do not overload!
This jack is designed for use on hard level surfaces. The
overload valve is set by factory. Do not adjust!
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before first use
• Place the pump handle on the release valve.
• Open the release valve by turning the pump handle
counter clockwise.
• Place the pump handle in the handle socket and
pump about 6 full strokes to assure complete
distribution of oil.
• Place the pump handle on the release valve again
and close the valve by turning it clockwise.
• The jack is ready to use.
To raise
• Before pumping, turn the release valve until it is
firmly closed.
• Position the jack under the load and turn the saddle
in such a way that the load will be lifted at the
correct points. Always center the load on the saddle
of jack.
• Raise the load to the desired height and then transfer
the load to the vehicle support stands.
To lower
• Raise the jack to remove the vehicle support stands.
• Turn the release valve slowly counter-clockwise
approximately 1⁄2 to 1 turn.
• If the position is still extended, push the piston down
manually so that the piston is not exposed to the air
thereby reducing exposure to rusting.
General care of your jack
• When jack is not in use, the lifting arm and handle
socket should be in full down position. This will
protect precision machined surfaces of the piston rod
and the pump piston from corrosion.
• For best results use specifically blended jack oil. The
0677846i.indd 4
0677846i.indd 4
equivalent international oil specification is SAE 10.
• Keep your jack clean and lubricate the outside
moving parts such as the lifting arm spindle, wheel
bearings and cross head pin.
