Risk of electric shock
• Be aware that the product must not be
used near water. There is a risk to life
from short-circuits!
Warning
• Never connect multiple units of this product
in series.
• Never connect the garden socket to an exten-
sion cable or adapter. Instead only connect it
directly to the power socket since otherwise
overheating can occur.
• Do not use any heat-generating devices with
this product. There is a risk of fire and injury.
• Do not use this product with any devices
that are motorised or any devices that have
a rotating component or tool. There is a
risk of injury.
Note - splash-protected
This product is protected according to IP44
against moisture and splash water.

4. Start-up and operation

Warning
• Only operate the product from a socket that has
been approved for the device. The socket must
be installed close to the product and must be
easily accessible.
• Disconnect the product from the power supply
using the On/Off switch – if this is not available,
unplug the power cord from the socket.
• If using a multi-socket power strip, make
sure that the total power consumption of all
connected devices does not exceed the power
strip's maximum throughput rating.
• If you will not be using the product for a pro-
longed period, disconnect it from mains power.
4.1 Commissioning
• First remove the protective cap from the ground
spike.
• Screw the garden socket onto the ground spike.
• Push the ground spike upright into firm soil.
Ensure that the ground spike is inserted firmly into
the soil and cannot fall over.
• Connect the mains plug to a properly installed
socket.
• Then connect your switched-off device to the
socket.
• Now switch the connected device on.
Note - pull out the garden socket
• Disconnect the garden socket from the mains.
• Disconnect the mains connection to the
connected device.
• Using the handle, pull the garden socket out
of the ground.
4.2 Timer
Note
The timer will stop running if the power supply
is interrupted.
• The timer is activated and deactivated using the
slider button (6).
• Switch position ¹: Timer activated
• Switch position I: Timer deactivated / permanent
operation
4.2.1 Programming on / off times
• To program the switch-on times, the time tab is
pushed downwards according to the desired time.
1 tab equals 15 minutes. If a longer time span is
required, more tabs (15-minute intervals) must be
pushed downwards.
• Switch-off times: Pull the time tabs back up.

4.2.2 Setting the current time

• The time selector dial is turned clockwise until the
arrow on the inner ring of the selector dial shows
the current time.
5. Care and maintenance
• Only clean this product using a lint-free, slightly
damp cloth and do not use any harsh cleaners.
• Ensure that no water is able to enter the product.
Note
Disconnect the device from the mains before
cleaning and during prolonged periods of
non-use.
