Stand alone & connected to the PC
The i-Vortex can be used both in stand-alone mode and linked to the PC. Ensure that the i-Vortex
computer is first connected in stand-alone mode to the i-Vortex brake before connecting it to PC
via the USB-ANT stick. The brake calibration and scale factor features can only be used in the
stand-alone mode.
Instructions on operating the software and connecting the i-Vortex to the PC are described in the
"Quick Start" that is provided with the Tacx Trainer software.

Switching on the i-Vortex handle bar computer
Pressing the
OK
key switches on the handle bar computer.
Stand by
If the computer is not used for 3 minutes, it will go in stand by mode. You can switch the i-Vortex
handle bar computer back on again by starting to ride or simply by pressing any key.

Press the OK
• After 3 minutes without activity or signal from the brake, the i-Vortex will go on stand by.
The training data will be saved up to the point you have arrived at.
• After 30 minutes on stand by, the i-Vortex handle bar computer will switch completely off
and your training data will be lost.
Resetting training data
When you are not riding, you can reset the training data by pressing
