Note
If, contrary to your expectation, a
voltage is applied at the object to be
measured, the glow lamp
nates and the buzzer sends an acous-
tic warning signal. If the measuring line
gets in contact with a line conductor,
the red V ~ LED [2] illuminates.
Beeper Plus is protected against voltage of an
external source up to 300 V ~(max. 30 s). A simul-
taneous continuity check can be performed with the
flashlight [9] switched on.
Non-contact voltage test
The metering lines are not plugged in.
By means of its circuit integrated in the rear side,
Beeper Plus is able to detect live lines.
It is not necessary that a current flows.
The metal bow [5] serves here as an extended
sensor.
Note
Touching the metal bow [5] is not
dangerous!
Single-pole line conductor test (fig. IV)
We recommend to use the COM socket [7] when
plugging in the measuring line. Touch the conductor
with the measuring tip. Take care that you do not
touch the bow [5] on the rear (fold up).
If it gets in contact with a live wire, the red V ~ LED
[2] illuminates!
Touching the metal bow [5] increases the sensitiv-
ity of the electronics thus enabling the detection of
alternating electric fields even at a distance of some
millimetres.

Flashlight

Slide the lateral switch [8] downwards. The high-
power LED will provide light for 80 hours. LED
service life > 100,000 hours.
Battery change (fig. V)
Using a screw driver, lever the housing cover on
top of the device open by applying force between
the nipple and the centre socket and by sliding the
cover to the front. Remove the cover by unhooking it
downwards.
