USE OF THE APPLIANCE
First use
• Before using the kettle for the first time, fill the kettle with cold water and boiled it twice
without any additives.
Use of the kettle :
1. Open the lid in order to fill in the kettle.
2. Fill the kettle only with cold water and respect the water level indicator (MIN-MAX).
Warning : If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
3. Close the lid by pushing slightly until the lid is locked.
4. Place the kettle on the base and connect it to the socket.
5. Switch the kettle to position '1'. The LED light on the water indicator shows that the
water is being boiled.
6. After boiling, the kettle switches off automatically. Disconnect the kettle from the mains
electricity supply. Do not open the lid when pouring.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
1. Cleaning
 Cool the keetle before cleaning.
 Always remove the plug from the supply before cleaning the kettle.
 The exterior of the kettle can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth without additives.
2. Descaling
 The frequency of descaling depends on the hardness of the water and the frequency of
use.
 Descale the kettle regularly for proper operation.
 In normal use, it is recommended to descale the kettle three to four times per year.
To descale the kettle:
1. Pour 25cl of water in the kettle.
2. Add 25cl of white vinegar.
3. Then boil and let stand for 15 minutes after switching off the device.
4. Rinse thoroughly several times with cold water and boil clean water before reuse (at least
3 times). Repeat if necessary
It is possible to use a specific descaler for kettles. In this case, follow the manufacturer's
instructions and then repeat step 4 of classical scaling.
Never use other methods of scaling than those recommended above.
3. Storage
 After each use and when unused for long periods, unplug the kettle and empty the water
tank.
 Store the kettle and its heating base in a dry, clean and frost-free location, which is
protected against direct sunlight.
 Do not store the unit near heated sources (eg. Fire, radiators, fan heaters or other heat-
emitting devices).
