turn off the appliance and
remove from the mains
supply.
• When assembling or dis-
assembling the appliance,
remove from the mains
supply.

10 Before using for the first
time
CAUTION:
• This appliance is not
suitable for hard foods such
as ice cubes, nutmeg or
large pieces of bar
chocolate. This may
destroy the blade!
• Take all the parts out of the
packaging and check for
damage.
• Clean all the parts before
they are first used. See the
section on "Cleaning and
Storing".
Assembling the attachments
Inserting the mixing rod
1. Place the motor casing (2)
over the mixing rod (3) (see
Fig. A).
2. Screw the motor casing in,
until it is fully engaged, in a
clockwise direction.
Removing the mixing rod
Remove the mixing rod with a
short twist.
