USING OF THE VAISON
Disassembly of the bicycle for transport
• Remove pedals and set aside
• Mark the seatpost and stem positions (you can
use tape for this). Remove seatpost and saddle,
as one unit, from frame and set aside.
• Loosen handlebar stem from headset, but do
not remove. If your bike has a front opening stem,
you can simply remove the front clamp piece
• Remove wheels. Remove skewers and set
aside.
Useful tips:
•
Use the shifter to adjust the rear derailleur into
its inward most (large pinion) position. When
reassembling your bike, be sure to
reset it to the outermost position
(smaller pinion).
•
To further protect from abuse in handling, you
can secure the chain to the brake bridge using a
hook, bungee cord, or other device as shown in
the illustration. This will maintain chain tension
and keep the chain from moving in the case during
transport.

cleaned bikes, free of grease buildup on the drive
train.
