1.
Intended use
This product is designed to maximise a notebook's performance by providing cooling. The built-in fan (item no.
97 56 49: two fans) supplies cool air to the notebook and thus protects it from overheating. The product also
includes an integrated USB hub with four ports. Power is supplied via a standard mains socket (100 – 240 V/AC,
50/60 Hz). The product should only be used in dry indoor areas.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the product
for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper use can
cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and keep them.
Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

Persons / Product
The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous playing material
for children.
Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity, moisture,
flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any
accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:

is visibly damaged,

is no longer working properly,
-
has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
-
has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the product.
Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected to the product.
Never reach into the rotating fan as this poses a serious risk of injury! Do not interfere with the proper
functioning of the fan (for example, by inserting external objects).
Miscellaneous
Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a qualified
shop.

Operation

1.
Place the cooling pad on a level, stable surface.
2.
Put a laptop onto the cooling pad.
3.
Connect the power adapter's mains plug to a standard mains outlet.
4.
Connect the power adapter's low voltage plug to the DC socket on the right-hand side of the cooling pad.
5.
Slide the power switch on the right-hand side of the cooling pad to the right (position "ON"). The blue LED
next to the power switch will light up and the fan will start to turn.

With the speed control on the right-hand side of the cooling pad, the speed of the fan can be adjusted.

Turn the control dial anti-clockwise to increase the speed.

Turn the control dial clockwise to decrease the speed.
7.
Press the turbo switch until it is fully engaged to switch the fan to maximum speed. The speed control has
no function when the turbo mode is thus activated.
8.
When the cooling pad is not in use, turn the power switch to the left (position "OFF") and disconnect the
power adapter from the mains outlet.

Make sure that the total power consumption of the consumer loads connected does not
exceed the maximum output current of the USB hub.
Once the cooling pad is connected to the power adapter, each of the four ports provides

an output current of max. 500 mA.
The USB hub also functions without the power adapter, however, only the output current
from the laptop USB port will then be available, distributed over the four hub ports.

Connect the USB cable to the Mini B port on the right-hand side of the cooling pad, and to a free USB port
on your laptop.

Connect up to four USB devices to the USB hub on the left-hand side of the cooling pad.

Tips and notes
There is a handy storage compartment on both sides of the cooling pad. Press on the compartment slightly
and it will open via its spring mechanism.
Two spacers are included in delivery. They are designed to increase the laptop's angle of inclination. To
increase inclination, screw both spacers into the corresponding openings on the cooling pad surface. Use
the openings on the inside for small laptops and the openings closer to the outside for larger laptops.
7.
Disposal
In order to preserve, protect and improve the quality of environment, protect human health and
utilise natural resources prudently and rationally, the user should return unserviceable product to
relevant facilities in accordance with statutory regulations.
The crossed-out wheeled bin indicates the product needs to be disposed separately and not as
municipal waste.
