Mini-ITX Casing
„AKASA CRYPTO"
Item-No. 97 52 38
Intended Use
The product is used to construct a small, compact computer. For assembly an ITX mainboard,
an optical Slimline drive and a 6.35cm/2.5" hard disk are suitable.
A built-in voltage converter in the casing generates all required voltages in the computer from
the 12V voltage of the included external power supply.
Always observe the safety instructions and all other information included in these operating
instructions.
This product complies with the applicable national and European requirements. All names of

Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any
consequential damage!
We do not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by
improper handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The
warranty will be null and void in such cases.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible
because of safety and approval reasons (CE). Never dismantle the product.
• The product is intended for use only in dry, indoor locations. No part of the product
should be allowed to become moist or wet; never take hold of it if your hands are
wet!
With the power adaptor/power cable there is also a risk of a potentially fatal electric
shock!
• Do not expose the product to extremes of temperature (<0°C or >+35°C), direct
sunlight, vibration or humidity.
• The product is not a toy. Keep devices that operate on the mains voltage out of the
reach of children! Therefore, be especially careful when children are around.
Use the product where it is out of the reach of children.
• Only operate the integrated voltage converter via the provided external power supply.
• Do not pull the power plug from the mains socket by pulling on the cable.
• If the power adaptor or the power cable is damaged, do not touch it; there is a risk
of a potentially fatal electric shock!
Switch off the mains voltage to the outlet to which the wall plug transformer is
connected (switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse).
Then you can unplug the power cable from the outlet. Dispose of the damaged
power adaptor/power cable in an environment-friendly way; do not use it any more.
Replace it with a new power adaptor/power cable with the same specifications.
• The design of the power adaptor corresponds to the protection class I. Only use a
standard grounded outlet as the voltage source (see chapter "Technical Data").
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous
playthings for children.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
drops, even from a low height.

Version 10/10
• The upper casing cover can be removed after removing the two screws from the back of the
°
casing. Then the upper casing cover can be slid a little backwards, and then be removed.
• Install an Mini-ITX motherboard. Depending on the used motherboard or CPU, if necessary,
this must be installed first and a suitable CPU fan mounted to it. Insert the RAM on the
motherboard.
Do not forget to use the metal screen for the connections of the motherboard that cover the
large square hole in the casing. This metal screen must be attached to the motherboard!
The CPU fan must not be too high. Between the intake and the upper casing cover there must
be a clearance of at least 10-15mm in order to enable the fan to draw sufficient cooling air.
• If the mainboard has a 24-pin power connector, a 4-pin connector can be laterally slid on the
20-pin plug of the integrated voltage converter (the 4-pin plug has the same colour as the 20-
pin plug).
The black 4-pin ATX 12V plug is to be connected to the respective connection on the
motherboard, like the audio plug and the small plugs for Reset, Power-On/-Off, HDD-LED and
Power-LED.
Observe the manual of the motherboard used.
• Attach a 6.35cm-/2.5" SATA HDD to the bottom of the holding plate. Depending on whether
you would also like to install an optical Slimline drive, remove the respective screen from the
front of the casing and fasten the drive to the holding plate.
Connect the hard drive to the respective power cable; connect the data connection of the hard
drive to the motherboard.
An adaptor cable is provided for the special narrow SATA/power connection of an optical
Slimline drive.
• Check again to see whether all cables are connected correctly.
• Secure all cables in the casing with cable ties in order to prevent them from entering the fan.
• Replace the cover and tighten.
• Connect a keyboard, a mouse, a monitor and, if necessary, a PC speaker to the connections
of the computer.
• Connect the round plug of the provided external power supply to the round connector of the
casing (below the fan, in the back).
Connect the power adaptor to the mains, using the power cable supplied.
• Turn on the computer by briefly pressing the power button on the front of the casing.
• Now the fan in the casing should start and an image should appear on the monitor within a few
seconds.
Now install the desired operating system.
• If no image appears, turn off the computer and disconnect the mains connection. Afterwards
all connections and links in the computer must be checked. If you cannot find errors, you
should consult a specialist about why the computer does not start properly.
Setting up of the computer
Choose a location that is stable, even, free of vibration and dustproof.
Protect the computer and the power supply from sun radiation, heat (e.g. heating elements), cold
and moisture.
The housing can be operated vertically thanks to the supplied feet.
Do not place the device on valuable furniture without using suitable protection. The weight can
cause pressure marks, and the heat can cause discolouration.
Never cover the computer and the power supply, as this would lead to a heat accumulation,
damaging the computer or the power supply.
Do not set up the computer and the power supply on soft surfaces (e.g. carpet).
Attention!
Separate the external power supply from the casing before opening.
