LED Snowflake-shaped light chain

Intended use
Use this product to decorate interior and exterior spaces (IP44). It can be fastened to an eave, tree or bush.
The product can be stuck in the ground using the ground spikes.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the
product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper
use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and
keep them. Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information.
If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this
manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property.
Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
a) Persons / Product
• Do not electrically attach this light chain to another light chain.
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous
playing material for children.
• The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
• As power supply, only use the supplied transformer.
• Only connect the transformer to a normal mains socket connected to the public supply. Before
plugging in the transformer, check whether the voltage stated on the transformer complies with
the voltage of your electricity supplier.
• Never connect or disconnect transformers if your hands are wet.
• Never unplug the transformer from the mains socket by pulling on the cable; always use the
grips on the plug.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cable is not pinched, kinked or damaged by
sharp edges.
• Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. This poses
a risk of injury.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the transformer from the mains socket during storms.
• Always check the product for damages before use. Should you discover any damage,
cease use of the product. If you discover damages while the product is in use (i.e. damaged
transformer), do not touch the product, risk of fatal injury due to electric shock! First remove
the power outlet to which the product is connected from the power supply (flip off the fuse and/
or automatic circuit breaker and then turn off the residual current operated circuit breaker to
disconnect the power outlet at all phases). Now unplug the transformer from the power outlet.
Discontinue use of the product immediately, dispose of it in an environmentally friendly fashion.
• Attention, LED light:
- Do not look directly into the LED light!
- Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, strong jolts, flammable gases, vapours and
solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from
any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage
the product.
b) Miscellaneous
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a
qualified shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our
technical support service or other technical personnel.
Operation
Do not set up or operate the product under water.
Make sure that the cables hang loosely and are not stretched too tightly. Failure to heed
this warning may cause the cables to tear.

Do not connect the product to the power supply while it is still in the packaging. Lay the
product out entirely before connecting it to the power supply.
Do not hang any objects from the product and do not cover the product.
The LEDs are neither dimmable nor replaceable.
1. Lay the product out entirely and arrange the cables so that they lie freely and are not tangled.
2. Choose a suitable location with soft earth/surface. A stony surface will damage the ground spikes.
3. Attach one ground spike to the bottom of each light wand. Guide the cable through the slot in the ground
spike.
4. Carefully stick each light wand on its ground spike all the way into the earth/surface.
5. Connect the plug to the correct connector on the transformer. It is only possible to connect in one way.
6. Secure the connection by turning the plug's screw cap onto the transformer's thread.
7. Connect the transformer to a power outlet.
The product has no power switch and is always on as long as it is connected to the power
supply.
8. Disconnect the transformer from the power outlet for extended periods of disuse.
Maintenance and cleaning
• The product is maintenance-free apart from occasional cleaning.
• Disconnect the transformer from the power supply before cleaning and allow the LEDs to cool down
sufficiently.
• To clean, use a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water.
• Allow the product to dry completely before continued use.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
