1. Overview
1.1 Usage

transmitters 20040003 and
20040004 form an integral
0
part of the TRI
SYS radio
2
system. The radio signal,
transmitted at 2.4 GHz, is based on the use of a PTM215ZE version DA-2 of
EnOcean, compatible with ZigBee Green Power specifications. It is particularly
suited to electrical installations which are not built-in, such as, for example:
renovations, modifications to domestic installations or offices with moveable
partitions.
Note:
- It does not require a battery or any maintenance!
- Read the user instructions carefully before activating.
1.2 Warranty clauses
This operating manual is an integral part of the device and our warranty
conditions. It must always be issued to the user. We reserve the right to alter the
construction techniques of our devices without prior notice. TRI
are manufactured and their quality is controlled using state-of-the-art
technologies and based on applicable French and international directives. If,
however, a fault should occur, TRI
without prejudice to the rights of the end user pursuant to the contract of sale
with the reseller:
If a legitimate and lawful claim is made, TRI
repair the fault in the device or shall supply a device which is not faulty. Any
claim over and above and any request for compensation for consequential
damages is excluded.
A legitimate fault exists if the device is unusable at the time of delivery to the
end user because of a design or manufacturing defect or if its practical use is
significantly limited. The warranty shall be void in the case of natural wear,
misuse, incorrect connection, where the device has been repaired or external
influence. The warranty period is 24 months (invoice date). The warranty rights
shall be governed by French law.
2. Safety
Pay attention to the following points:
• The laws, standards and directives in force.
• Industry best practice at the time of installation.
• The device's operating manual.
• Any operating manual can only give general instructions. They should be
interpreted in the context of the specific installation.
The device is designed to be used solely in compliance with its purpose. Any
repairs or modifications made by the user are prohibited! Do not use with other
devices, the operation of which could endanger people, animals or property.

4. Fitting and activation
Non-contractual schemes
4.1 Fitting advice
- Do not use outside (closed areas only)
- Create a flat surface before fitting on rough surfaces.
Unevenness may lead to the switch malfunctioning.
- When fitting, ensure you adhere to the specified fitting position (O = top, I
= bottom) shown on the rear of the transmitter (2).
- NEVER fit the wall-mounted switch in a metal case or close to large metal
objects. It is not advisable to fit it close to or on the floor.
4.2 Fitting
- Clip the finger(s) (1) on to the transmitter (2), then the preceding assembly
on to the support (3).
- Use the mounting as a drill plate and mark the holes to be drilled.
- Drill holes for the 5mm wall plugs.
- Fasten the assembly using screws and wall plugs.
Note: The wall-mounted transmitter is designed for indoor usage. Do not fit it
in areas which could come into contact with water! To clean it, wipe it with a
damp cloth.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 New or existing installation
• If the transmitter operates at a shorter distance from other equipment, it is
subject to interference or used outside the transmission range.
• Search the system environment for changes that could cause the
interference (for example movement of metallic cabinets, furniture or
partitions)
• Use the transmitter in a suitable location.
5.2 Limitation of the radio signal range
• Transmitter used near to metal objects or materials containing metallic
elements. Maintain a distance of at least 10cm.
• Moisture in the equipment.
• Devices which emit high frequency signals such as audio and video
equipment, computers or electronic ballasts for fluorescent tubes.
Maintain a distance of at least 0.5 m.
