3. Safety and Hazard Notes
The only permissible power source is a 230 V ~, 50-60 Hz mains socket from the public power
•
supply. Never try to operate the equipment using a different voltage.
Contact a professional if you have doubts regarding the operating principles, safety or
•
connection of the equipment.
This equipment may only be used indoors.
•
The equipment must be removed from the power supply before opening the cover or removing
•
parts.
The mains plug may never be inserted or removed using wet hands.
•
Pull on the grip surfaces of the plug to remove it from the socket, never on the mains cable itself.
•
Never use the equipment in an easily inflammable atmosphere (e.g. close to combustible gas or
•
spray bottles). Risk of explosion and fire!
Do not cover the heater. Risk of fire!
•
Never install the equipment close to water taps, washbasins or other water sources. Also never
•
connect your heater to a power source if the surface of the equipment is damp.
Do not place any objects into the openings on the equipment. Danger of injury, electric schock
•
or damage to the equipment!
During installation please ensure that the connection wire is not squeezed or damaged by sharp
•
edges. In the event that this kind of damage has created open sections of wire the equipment
should on no account be re-connected to the power supply. Risk of fatal injury!
Always remove the mains plug from the socket before cleaning the equipment. Clean only with a
•
dry cloth.
Always remove the mains plug if the equipment is out of operation for a long period. Store your
•
plant lamp in a protected, dry place during this time.
If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible then the equipment must be taken
•
out of operation and secured against unintended use. This is the case if:
- the equipment or the mains cable are visibly damaged
- the equipment is no longer working
- after long periods of storage in unfavourable conditions
- after rough transportation
Equipment that is operated using mains power is not for the use of children.
•
The equipment is not suitable for use in cattle raising areas.
•
These operating instructions are a constituent part of the equipment and should be kept in a
•
safe place. If the equipment is passed on to third parties the operating instructions should be
given at the same time.
In commercial buildings the accident prevention guidelines of the trade association for electrical
•
systems and operating materials must be observed.
Never pour fluid over the equipment. There is a risk of fire or a dangerous electric shock. If this
•
should nevertheless occur then remove the plug from the mains and consult a professional.
If you are unsure of the correct connection method or if you have questions that are not clarified
•
in the operating instructions then please contact the manufacturer or a professional.
This equipment must not be used by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory
