Intended use
The product is intended for displaying time, date and temperature. The time can be set automatically
via radio signal or manually. The product features a dual alarm function, a world clock with 32
megacities and a countdown timer. The product is operated by 2 AAA batteries (not included).
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in bathrooms,
must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use
the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. Read
the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this product available to third parties only together
with its operating instructions.

Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper
handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or
damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and
protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if
the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
can damage the product.
• Correct polarity must be observed while inserting the (rechargeable) batteries.
• (Rechargeable) batteries should be removed from the device if it is not used for a long
period of time to avoid damage through leaking. Leaking or damaged (rechargeable)
batteries might cause acid burns when in contact with skin, therefore use suitable
protective gloves to handle corrupted (rechargeable) batteries.
• (Rechargeable) batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave
(rechargeable) batteries lying around, as there is risk, that children or pets swallow
them.
• All (rechargeable) batteries should be replaced at the same time. Mixing old and
new (rechargeable) batteries in the device can lead to (rechargeable) battery
leakage and device damage.
• (Rechargeable) batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire.
Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an
expert or at a qualified shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,
contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
Inserting / replacing batteries
• Remove the battery compartment cover from the back of the device.
• Insert two AAA batteries and heed correct polarity. Heed correct polarity as indicated in the
battery compartment.
• Close the battery compartment.
Replace the batteries once the display gets weaker noticeably or turns off at all.
Installation location
• Choose a level, flat and stable location for installation.
• Protect valuable furniture surfaces with suitable padding in order to avoid scratching.
• Fold the stand backwards and install the product in such a way that it cannot fall down.
• In order to guarantee proper radio signal reception, do not place the product near other
electronic devices, cables, metal parts, etc.
Operation
a) Automatically setting the time
• Once you have inserted the batteries, the product searches immediately and automatically for
the time signal. The reception icon in the shape of a satellite dish flashes in the bottom left
corner of the display.
• This product is able to receive the time signal of four different regions:
- DCF: Germany / Europe
- MSF: Great Britain
When receiving the WWVB signal, the display shows the US map right next to the
reception icon. As for the other three regions, the display shows the respective letter
abbreviation.
When receiving the WWVB signal, you can select one of the four time zones used in
the US. Please refer to the sub-chapter below for more information.
• It takes approx. 3 to 10 minutes for the product to receive the signal and to automatically set the
time. Do not move the product or press any button during that period.
• The product searches for the DCF signal first. If it cannot be received within 2 minutes, the
product starts searching for the MSF signal, then for the WWVB signal and finally for the JJY
signal.
• In order to select your desired region directly, briefly press the DOWN button during the
automatic search.
• In order to stop the automatic search, press and hold the DOWN button for approx. 3 seconds
until the reception icon disappears.
• The automatic search for the time signal is performed daily at 2:03 a.m., 3:03 a.m., 4:03 a.m. and
5:03 a.m. If the signal can be received at the first go, the next search will only be performed the
next day at 2:03 a.m.
• In order to start the automatic search for the time signal at any other time, press and hold the
DOWN button for approx. 3 seconds until the reception icon starts flashing.
• After successful reception the reception icon lights up steadily.
b) Selecting the time zone for WWVB signal
• Once the product starts searching for the WWVB signal, press and hold the DOWN button for
approx. 3 seconds until the reception icon disappears.
• Press the UP button to select one of the four available time zones (E, C, M, P).
• Press and hold the DOWN button again for approx. 3 seconds to continue the automatic search
for the selected time zone.
c) Manually setting the time
• Press and hold the SET/MODE button for approx. 2 seconds. The year indicator starts flashing.
• Press the UP button to increase the value or press the DOWN button to decrease the value.
Keep the button pressed for quick adjustment.
• Press SET/MODE to confirm. The month indicator starts flashing.
• Proceed as described above to set month and day.
• Press the SET/MODE button to confirm your settings. The language indicator starts flashing.
• Use the UP or DOWN buttons to select the language for the weekday display. The following
languages are available:
- GER: German
- ENG: English
- ITA: Italian
- FRE: French
• Press SET/MODE to confirm. The time zone 00 starts flashing in the top of the display. Use the UP
or DOWN buttons to select the time zone you are currently located in.
• Press SET/MODE to confirm. The hour indicator starts flashing.
• Proceed as described above to set the hours and minutes.
• Press SET/MODE to confirm. The DST OFF indicator starts flashing.
• Use the UP or DOWN buttons to activate (DST ON) or deactivate (DST OFF) daylight saving time.
• Press the SET/MODE button to confirm your settings. The time has then been set successfully.

- DAN: Danish
