Resetting the Clock
Use this function, if the radio-controlled alarm clock no longer responds to keystrokes or in the
event of other malfunctions.
In this case, all of the previously received DCF data is deleted.
• To reset the radio-controlled alarm clock, press the RESET button with a sharp-pointed object
(e.g. a pen).
• The hands run to the receiving position (12:00) and the radio-controlled alarm clock tries to
detect the DCF signal.
• Wait for about 2-5 minutes, until the current time is indicated.
Alarm function
a) Setting the alarm
• The alarm time is indicated on the clock face by a small clock hand.
• Turn the adjustment knob on the case's rear in the direction of the arrow, until the desired
alarm time is shown on the clock face.
Only turn the adjustment knob in the direction of the arrow; otherwise, the alarm time
will not be set correctly.
b) Activating/deactivating the alarm function
• Move the sliding switch on the back of the casing to the desired position:
ON
Alarm function activated
OFF
Alarm function deactivated
c) Stopping the alarm signal & snooze function
• A crescendo alarm sounds at the set alarm time. This is an alarm sound, its signal frequency
increases progresseively to allow you to wake up gently.
• If the alarm is not stopped, it stops automatically after approximately 2 minutes.
• The alarm signal can be interrupted for approx. 5 minutes by briefl y pressing the big key on
the top of the case. After this, the signal will restart (snooze function). This process can be
repeated 3 times.
• To switch the alarm function off, move the sliding switch on the back of the case to the OFF
position.
Illumination
Press the big key on the housing's top side to turn on the lighting of the clock face for a view
seconds.
Location for Use
Select a levelled, fl at and stable location for use.
Protect valuable furniture surfaces by using an appropriate underlay; otherwise, it may cause
scratches.
Set up the radio-controlled alarm clock to prevent it from falling.
To ensure correct DCF reception, the radio-controlled alarm clock should not be placed next to
electronic devices, cables, metal parts, etc.
Maintenance and Cleaning
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be disassembled for any
reason.
Please use a soft, dry, clean cloth for cleaning.
Do not use any chemical cleaning agents, as they can discolour the plastic casing.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed of in the
household waste!
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regu-
lations.
Remove the battery if there is one inserted and dispose of it separately from the
product.
b) Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries
As end user, you are required by law (Battery Regulation) to return used batte-
ries and rechargeable batteries. Do not dispose of used batteries in the household
waste!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries contain harmful materials and are labelled with
the symbol shown to indicate that disposal in the household waste is forbidden.
The symbols of the relevant heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead
(marking can be seen on the battery/rechargeable battery, e.g. underneath the
refuse bin symbol shown on the left).
You can return your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the
offi cial collection points of your community, in our stores, or at places where batte-
ries or rechargeable batteries are sold!
You thereby fulfi l your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
