WLAN/LAN Monitoring Camera
Item no. 1337846
Intended use
The product is intended for surveillance by means of the integrated camera. It can either be
operated directly via a 10/100MBit network (RJ45 connection) or wireless via WLAN.
The camera is suitable for the operation in indoor and outdoor areas. However, the plugs at the
cable end (RJ45, low-voltage connector) and the button must not get damp or wet.
The power is supplied via the enclosed power adapter. It must not get damp or wet either and
has to be connected and operated in a dry indoor room.
Please bear in mind that it is prohibited by law to observe strangers with a camera without
their knowledge and consent. Observe the rules and regulations of the country where you are
using the camera.
The safety instructions, and technical data must be followed without fail!
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and involves
the risk of short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be modified or
converted!

Safety instructions
The warranty/guarantee will be void in the event of damage caused by failure
to observe these operating instructions! We do not assume any liability for
any resulting damage!
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In such cases,
the warranty will be null and void.
a) General
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not permitted
for safety and approval reasons (CE). Never dismantle the product.
• Any maintenance or repair work may only be performed only an expert.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, as it could become a
dangerous plaything for children.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's
Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Facilities are
to be observed.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating instructions,
please contact our technical department or another specialist.
b) Wall plug transformer
• The design of the wall plug transformer complies with Protection Class II. Use only
a standard mains socket as the power source for the power adapter.
• The mains socket into which the wall plug transformer is plugged must be easily
accessible.
• Only use the wall plug transformer provided to power the docking station.
• Do not pull the power adapter from the mains socket by pulling on the cable. Hold
it on the sides of the casing and pull it out of the mains socket.
• Do not touch any wall plug transformer that shows signs of damage; there is a
danger to life from electric shock!

Getting started, connection via RJ45
• Connect the WLAN antenna via the corresponding connection socket at the back of the
camera.
• Connect the RJ45 connector of the camera (at the end of the camera's cable) to a 1:1 con-
nected network cable with its network, e.g., a network switch.
• Connect the corresponding plug of the wall plug transformer provided to the round low-volt-
age connector of the camera's connection cable and connect the wall plug transformer with
a mains socket.
There are two further LEDs on the RJ45 input: The top, right-hand LED indicates the link
status (network cable connection ok). The top, left-hand LED indicates data transfers via LAN
cable.
• Insert the enclosed CD into the corresponding drive on your computer.
The CD contains software ("IP Camera Search Tool") that allows you to display the camera's
IP address (in a network with DHCP server this is automatically assigned to the camera).
First, switch off the mains voltage at the socket to which the wall plug transformer
is connected (switch off the corresponding circuit breaker, remove the safety fuse
or switch off the corresponding RCD protective switch, so that the socket is fully
disconnected).
You can then unplug the power adapter from the mains socket. Dispose of the
faulty power adapter in an environmentally friendly way, do not use it any more.
Replace it with a power adapter of the same design.
c) Operation
• This product is not a toy. Devices operated on mains voltage should not be used
by children. Therefore, be especially careful when children are around.
Use the product where it is out of the reach of children.
• The use of this camera does not replace the personal supervision of children or
people who require special assistance, but only serves as a support for this super-
vision.
• The camera is suitable for the operation in indoor and outdoor areas. However, the
plugs at the cable end (RJ45, low-voltage connector) and the button must not get
damp or wet.
However, never mount the camera in or under water; this will destroy the device.
The wall plug transformer may not get wet or moist. It must be connected and op-
erated in a dry indoor room, otherwise there is a danger to life through an electric
shock!
• Never use the product immediately after it has been taken from a cold room into a
warm one. The condensation that forms can ruin the product under certain circum-
stances. The wall plug transformer also poses a risk for a potentially fatal electric
shock!
Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it to the power
supply and putting it to use. This may take several hours.
• Prevent the following adverse conditions at the location of installation and during
transport:
- Dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- Strong vibrations, impacts or blows
- Strong magnetic fields such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or loud-
speakers
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cables are neither kinked nor
pinched.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
falls, even from a low height.
• If the camera is used with other devices (e.g., a monitor), the operating instruc-
tions and safety notes for these devices must also be followed without fail.
• Disconnect the power supply from the power socket if the camera will not be used
for a while (e.g., storage).
• Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the device is visibly damaged
- the device no longer works
- the device has been stored under adverse conditions for a long time
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
Test the camera before installing/fasten it permanently in the desired place.
The camera should always be connected first to the computer via RJ45 to easily
adjust your preferences. You can set up WLAN only after the camera is working
properly.
For the set-up process to be straightforward, it is essential for your network to have
an active DHCP-Server (e.g., as contained in every router).
