POWER SOURCE
BATTERY OPERATION
1.
Open the Battery Cover.
2.
Put 4"AA" size (UM-3) batteries into the battery compartment, making sure that the batteries are installed
in the designated numerical order and that the proper polarities ("+"and"-") are maintained.

To prevent possible damage to this unit:

*
Load new batteries with their polarities ("+" and"-") aligned correctly.
*
Do not apply heat to batteries, or internal short circuit may occur.
*
If this unit is not going to be used for a long period of time, remove all batteries and store them in a cool
and dry place.
*
Remove spent batteries immediately and dispose them.
*
Do not use old and new batteries together. Also never use an alkaline battery with a manganese battery.
To Charge the Built-in Ni-Mh Batteries
1. For better quality during charging, it's best to turn off the radio, flashlight and lantern.
2.
Pull the cranking handle out.
3.
Turn the cranking handle at a speed of 120 turns per minute or charge by DC IN, and the built-in batteries
will be full charged in approximately 1 hour.
