Connection and start-up
Example:
First switch off all the devices that you wish to connect to the transmitter and receiver
modules.
• Connect the SDI input (7) of the transmitter module with the SDI output of e.g., a surveillance
camera using a suitable cable. If you want to transmit IR control signals, connect the included
IR transmitter to the IR output (6). Place the IR transmitter in such a way that its light (invisible
to the human eye) is pointed towards the device to be controlled.
• Connect a suitable monitor or DVR to the SDI output (15) of the receiver module. If you want
to transmit IR control signals, connect the included IR receiver to the IR input (14). Place
the IR receiver in such a way that you can point the IR light of e.g., an IR remote control
towards it.
• Connect the round socket of the transmitter module and receiver module, respectively, to
one of the two power adapters included in the delivery (both power adapters are of the same
type).
• Finally, connect the power adapters to a mains socket.
• Switch on the devices connected to the transmitter/receiver modules.
• The LEDs at the front of the transmitter and receiver module are indicating functions:
- Power LED (1, 9): The LED lights up if the transmitter/receiver module is connected to the
power supply.
- Data transfer LED (2, 10): The LED indicates if the video/IR data are transmitted (LED
flashes fast) or if a data connection is being established (LED flashes slowly)
- Link LED (3, 11): The LED indicates if devices are connected with each other via radio.
The devices connected to the transmitter/receiver modules must be switched on and
ready for operation, so that a connection can be established.
Troubleshooting
No image
• Switch all devices on and/or connect transmitter and receiver modules to mains voltage via
the AC adapter.
• When the transmitter and receiver modules are connected to the power supply the "RESET"
button on both devices.
• Reduce the distance between the transmitter and receiver modules, change the location.
Place the devices so that objects/devices/walls/glass and also people are not located be-
tween the transmitter and receiver modules as this would reduce the range considerably.
• Do not place any devices onto the transmitter/receiver module; do not place them between
other devices. This greatly reduces the radio range.
• Use high-quality SDI cables.
• The SDI input/output only supports SDI signals.
• Select the correct input on the monitor/DVR.
• Disconnect the transmitter/receiver modules from the operating voltage for a few seconds.
• Check the settings of the devices connected to the transmitter/receiver modules such as
whether the monitor is able to display the SDI signal. Test and connect the player directly to
e.g., the surveillance camera.
Image cut-outs, image interferences
• Reduce the distance between the transmitter and receiver modules, change the location.
• Disconnect the transmitter/receiver module from the power supply for a few seconds or press
the "RESET" button on both devices.
Range too low
• Keep a distance from other devices that operate within the same frequency range (e.g.,
routers).
• Realign the antennae. The optimal alignment is achieved when both antennae are parallel to
each other. If, however, the ends of the antennae point at each other, the range is very small.
IR signals are not transmitted
• Check if the IR transmitter and IR receiver were not exchanged by mistake.
• Place the IR transmitter in such a way that its IR light (invisible to the human eye) is pointed
towards the device to be controlled (e.g., a surveillance camera). Refer to the operating
instructions of the device to be controlled to learn where the IR receiver is installed.
• Place the IR receiver in such a way that you can point your IR remote control towards it.
• Check if the IR remote control you use is working correctly (e.g., insert new batteries).
• Protect the IR transmitter/receiver from strong sunlight or the light from lamps.
Care and cleaning
Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning.
Never use abrasive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, since these
could damage the casing or even impair operation.
Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
