The drinking bowl must not be run without water if the heating is activated!
Installation Scheme from inside to outside see the installation scheme
1. Mount the valve heating bestween the bowl and the valve.
2. Water supply pipe
• For better heat distribution the water pipe has to be wrapped first with an aluminium adhesive tape (Ref. 101.1099). Wrap
the frost protection heating cable directly around the metal pipes.
3. Frost protection heating cable
• To ensure a frost-free feed pipe, a frost protection heating cable 24 V, 20 W, 2 m (Order Ref. 101.0861), or a 24 V, 30 W,
3 m (Order Ref. 101.1863) has to be used. The frost protection heating cable should be wrapped around the pipe and fixed
on it with the aluminium adhesive tape.
Caution! Don't squeeze or ply the frost protection heating cable. This leads to damages.
4. Insulation ( but do not insulate the thermostat)
5. Thermostat of the valve heating with electric cable
• Due to installed valve heating (24 V, 5 W) the tube valve is frost-protected down to approx. -20°C. A thermostat integrated
in the connection cable switches the heating on at 5°C and off at 12°C.
• For a correct heat distribution the thermostat must not be insulated.
• Only the thermostat may be fixed with cable ties.
• Electric cable of the valve heating must be fixed with aluminium adhesive tape.
6. Protection against biting
7. Transfotmer
• For each drinking bowl one SUEVIA transformer is necessary. The transformer has to be installed outside of animal's reach!
Protect the supply cable against animal's bites! (see instructions for installation of Transformatror)
• For automatic switch on/off of transformer a thermostat (Order Ref. 101.0389) can be additionally installed.
Fire prevention
A minimum distance of 30 mm to flammable material should be held.
