When using electrical appliances, basic safety pre-
cautions should always be followed, including the
following:
Read all instructions before using this appliance.
• This appliance is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do
not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use
handles when moving this appliance. Keep combustible
materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers,
clothes and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) and away
from the side and the rear of this appliance.
Warning: In order to avoid over heating, do not cover
the heater.
• Caution: Never leave the heater operating unat-
tended. Extreme caution is necessary if unsupervised
children or invalids are nearby.
• The appliance is not to be used by children or persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction.
• Always unplug this appliance when not in use.
• Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or
plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or if it has
been dropped or damaged in any manner.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Do not use outdoors.
• This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laun-
dry areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate this
appliance where it may fall into a bathtub or other water
container.
• Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord
with throw rugs, runners or the like. Arrange cord away
from traffic areas and where it will not be tripped over.
• To disconnect this appliance, turn controls to the off
position, then remove plug from outlet.
• Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ven-
tilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric
shock or fire, or damage the appliance.
• To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or
exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like

POlARIzEd PlUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other.) As a safety feature, this plug
fits in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit into the outlet, reverse the plug and try
again. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified elec-
trician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

Use this appliance only as described in the manual. Any

This heater is for use on 120 volts. Do not use 2 prong
adapters. Always plug heaters directly into a wall out-
let/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or re-
locatable power tap (power strip).
• This product is intended ONLY for indoor household
or office use. It is NOT intended for industrial or com-
mercial use. Do not use outdoors.

TIP OVER PROTECTION CIRCUIT
This unit employs a safety tip-over protection circuit.If
for any reason the heater falls over or is knocked over,
a pressure-sensitive switch at the bottom of the unit will
activate and cut off power to the heater. Once the heater
is repositioned in an upright position on a flat surface,
the tip-over switch will be de-activated and the unit will
begin to function again.

ElECTRICAl CORd
The cord of this appliance was selected to reduce the
possibility of tangling in or tripping over a longer
cord. If more length is needed, use an extension cord
rated no less than 15 amperes. when using an ex-
tension cord, do not let it drape over the working
area or dangle where someone could accidentally
trip over it. Handle cord carefully for longer life;
avoid jerking or straining it at outlet and appliance
connections.
