4. INITIAL USE AND HAIR
STRAIGHTENING
Preparing your hair
• This appliance can be used on both dry
and wet hair.
• Wash your hair and dry it with a towel or
dryer until you are sure that there are no
remnants of dripping water on your hair.
• Comb your hair thoroughly; do not use
hairspray or other flammable chemical
hair care products.
• Wrap a towel around your neck to avoid
burns.
Switch on the appliance
• Place the appliance on to a flat and level
surface and plug in the appliance and
switch it on by using the ON/OFF switch
b. Leave the straightener to heat up for
approximately 3 minutes.
Straightening long hair
Work with 5cm thick sections. Place the hair
between the hot plates and press firmly. Keep
it in place for a few seconds and pass it along
the hair from the roots to the tips, maintaining
some pressure. Repeat the process until you
have acquired the desired style. Leave your
hair to cool down before giving it the final
touches or before combing.
Straightening short hair
Follow the instructions for long hair, but
instead of pulling the straightener along
your hair, keep the straightener in the same
place for approximately 10 seconds.
USEFUL SHAPING TIPS
• Straight
Insert a section of hair of around 5cm
thick between the plates, then press the
tongs together and slide them slowly
along the hair from the roots to the tips.
• Shaping soft curls
Insert a section of hair of approx. 5cm
thick between the plates, press the tongs
together gently and slide the straightener
along to the tips, then coil the hair
around the plates.
• Shaping outwards
Insert a section of hair of around 5cm
thick between the plates, then press the
tongs together and slide them along the
hair starting from the roots and gently
shaping the tips outwards.
• Shaping inwards
Insert a section of hair of around 5cm
thick between the plates, then press the
tongs together and slide them slowly
along the hair starting from the roots and
shaping the tips inwards.
COLD TOUCH COVER
As the appliance is designed for
professional use, the temperature will be
very high during use. Using the cold touch
cover is recommended during personal use
of the appliance.
Fitting the cold touch cover
• Align the centre of the appliance with the
inner part of the cover (image 1).
• Slide the cover backwards to the end
(image 2).
• Pull the cover until it fits onto the body
of the appliance (image 3).
Removing the cold touch cover
• Use two fingers to pull on the two buttons
on the sides of the cover. (image 1).
Pull on the cover from the back and remove
it from the appliance by sliding it forwards.
Switching off the appliance
Switch off the appliance by using the ON/
OFF switch b.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Risk of electrocution!
Switch the appliance off before
cleaning it and unplug it.
• Risk of burns!
It is essential to leave the appliance
to cool down completely.
• Before cleaning the appliance, unplug it
from the power socket!
• Do not put the appliance in water!
• Look after your appliance! Do not use
