FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEW
Preliminary filter
The preliminary filter removes large dust particles and pollutants from the air, thereby protecting
the secondary filter from severe soiling and optimising its functionality. The preliminary filter can be
vacuum-cleaned when the need arises. Because the filter material becomes worn in the course of
time, the filter should be replaced at approximately 6-month intervals.
HPP™ Filter System
The HPP™ filter is the heart of the air purifier. It filters out viruses, bacteria, fine dust, pollen, dust
mite excretions and mould fungi from the room air. Its high efficiency is ensured by the use of ex-
tremely powerful magnetic fields. The HPP LED (15) shows the function status of the HPP filter:
• LED is illuminated – HPP filter is installed and working faultlessly
• LED is not illuminated – HPP filter is not installed or does not work
The HPP filter must be cleaned every 2 months under cold running water using detergent (see
chapter "Cleaning the filter").
Activated carbon filter
The activated carbon filter is able to absorb airborne gases (unpleasant odours or tobacco smoke)
thereby filtering them out of the air. Its capacity is finite for which reason the filter should be re-
placed at approximately 6-month intervals depending on the level of air contamination caused by
unpleasant odours and tobacco smoke. Should it become apparent, even before the end of the
6-month period, that the unpleasant odours are no longer being adequately eliminated, this is a
further indication that the filter should be replaced.
Fragrance compartment
The fragrance compartment fleece may be moistened with a few drops of fragrance (max. 1-2
drops). Pegasus will then give off the fragrance into the room air, generating an agreeable ambi-
ance. Please note: if used in excess, fragrances may attack and damage plastic. Therefore, please
add no more than 1-2 drops to the fleece, and do not add any more until the first fragrance is used
up . If in doubt, please wash out and dry the fragrance compartment and fleece.
Speed levels
The air purifier has 5 different speed levels for different applications:
Level 1, very quiet – e.g. for bedrooms overnight
Level 2, quiet – for bedrooms or smaller rooms
Level 3 for continuous daytime use in smaller rooms (25m
Level 4 for continuous daytime use in larger rooms (up to 50m
Level 5, high-speed – for quick air purification or purification of heavily polluted air
Timer
The appliance switches off automatically after 2, 4 or 8 hours as you wish. Ideal for air purification
when you leave the home but would like to have the air purified in your absence. The appliance can
also be used without the timer and is suitable for continuous operation.
Night mode
Today, many appliances incorporate LED lights which are unsuitable for night-time use in a bedroom.
In night mode, the light intensity is reduced to a pleasant level.
CLEANING THE FILTER
Prior to any maintenance work and after each use, switch off the appliance and withdraw the adap-
tor from the socket.
Never immerse in water (risk of short circuit).
•
External surfaces should only be wiped off with a damp cloth and then dried well.
•
The preliminary filter can be cleaned carefully with a vacuum cleaner. The filter should be
changed at 6-month intervals.
•
The activated charcoal filter cannot be cleaned and should be replaced at intervals of no more
than 6 months.
