Changing the UV Lamp (Fluorescent
Lamp)
WARNING!
• Risk of electric shock through bare contacts!
Æ Only put the machine into operation when the
cover covers the contacts properly.
CAUTION!
• Risk of fire/burns!
The fluorescent lamp heats up during opera
tion.
Disconnect the machine from the power supply
and wait until the fluorescent lamp has cooled
down.
Do not take hold of the fluorescent lamp with
your bare hands.
• Property damage!
The fluorescent lamps are made of fragile ma
terial and can break.
Do not take hold of the fluorescent lamp with
your bare hands.
Use medium soft materials, such as plastic, for
levering purposes.

Lever the protective cap carefully over the holder (e.g.
using a suitable piece of plastic).
Take hold of the fluorescent lamp in both hands and
turn the fluorescent lamp 90° (¼ of a revolution) towards
you.
The holder is unlocked.
Remove the fluorescent lamp.
Take hold of the new fluorescent lamp in both hands
and install the fluorescent lamp.
Turn the fluorescent lamp 90° (¼ of a revolution) in the
opposite direction .
Replace the protective cap.
UV 585
Turn the machine over so that the base plate is at
the top. Pull the base plate in the direction of the imprin
ted arrow from the rest of the housing.
Carefully lever the protective cap up about 2 mm over
the holder (e.g. using a suitable piece of plastic).
Pull the protective cap about 1.5 cm outwards.
The protective cap is released from its guide.
Remove the protective cap carefully over the holder
(e.g. using a suitable piece of plastic).
The holder is unlocked.
Remove the fluorescent lamp.
Install the new fluorescent lamp.
Mount the protective cap on the holder from the out
side.
Slide the protective cap about 1.5 cm inwards onto the
guide until you notice a little resistance.
Use a little force to slide the protective cap further,
overcoming this resistance.
The protective cap latches audibly in place.
Insert the base plate back in the housing.

cloth.
Clean the UV fluorescent lamp with a soft cloth
moistened with a little rubbing alcohol.
Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents.
