Symbols explanation
CE conformity marking: The manufacturer shall certify with
an EC declaration of conformity, that the product complies
with all applicable European Community Directives.
Only for household use, in dry areas.
The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates that the item should
be disposed of separately from household waste. The item should
be handed in for recycling in accordance with local environ-
mental regulations for waste disposal. By separating a marked

Safety directions
Please read this information carefully before installing or using this
product. Please keep this user manual for further reference.
· The manufacturer does not accept any responsibility for injuries or
damage resulting from improper use of the light.
· Maintenance of the lights is limited to the surfaces. When doing
this, no moisture must come into contact with any areas of the
terminal connections or mains voltage control parts.
· Do not install the light on a damp or conductive subsurface.
· Only the included individual parts may be used; otherwise any and
all guarantee claims will expire.
· Please make sure that no cables get damaged during the installati-
on work.
· Do not look directly into the light source (illuminant, LED, etc.).
· This lamp is not suitable for dimmers and electronic switches.
· To assemble the components with adhesive surfaces, remove the
protection foil on the rear side and press the component firmly
on the intended position. Make sure that the assembly location is
clean, dry and free of grease.
· Do not attempt to switch on the adaptable light tape whilst it is
rolled up or still in its packaging.
· The flexible LED tape can be shortened with a scissor every 10
cm at the marked positions. The remaining components can be
reassembled with the included plug connection. Ensure the correct
polarity during assembly.
· This LED product may only be operated with the enclosed power
supply unit (model XY-1202000-E).
· The LED's are not replaceable. Dispose of the whole product when
the LED's stop working.
· Do not use the product while it is still in its original packaging.
· Do not cover the surfaces of this product in operation.
· This LED stripe must not be connected to a LED stripe or any other
product of another maker.
Safety instructions for batteries
Keep batteries out of the reach of children!
Swallowing batteries can cause chemical burns, perforation of
soft tissue, and death. Severe burns may occur within 2 hours of
swallowing batteries. Seek immediate medical attention.
Danger to life!
Keep batteries / rechargeable batteries out of reach of children. If
accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.
Danger of explosion!
Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Do not short-circuit
batteries and / or open them. Overheating, fire or bursting can
be the result. Never throw batteries into fire or water. Do not exert
mechanical loads to batteries.
· Only use the specified type of battery!
· Insert batteries according to polarity marks (+) and (-) on the battery
and the product.
· Clean the contacts on the battery and in the battery compartment
before inserting!
· Remove exhausted batteries from the product immediately.
· Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures, which
could affect batteries, e.g. radiators / direct sunlight.
· Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. In the
event of contact with battery acid, thoroughly flush the affected
area with plenty of clean water and seek immediate medical
attention.
· Wear protective gloves! Leaked or damaged batteries can cause
burns on contact with the skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at
all times if such an event occurs.
· In the event of a leakage of batteries, immediately remove them
from the product to prevent damage.
· Only use the same type of batteries.
· Do not mix used and new batteries.
· Remove batteries if the product will not be used for a longer period.
Installation and Operation
1. Ensure that a plug socket is located in close proximity to the
installation area.
2. Choose a suitable installation area. Ensure that the installation
area is clean, grease-free and dry. Otherwise the functionality of
the adhesive strip may be impaired.
3. Remove the protective foil from the reverse side of the LED stripe.
4. Stick the LED stripe with the adhesive strip onto the installation
area and press it on firmly.
5. Remove the protective foil from the reverse side of the cable
holder.
6. Stick the cable holder onto the desired position.
7. Squeeze the controller cable with IR receiver into the cable holder.
8. Insert the power supply into the mains socket.
Your light is now ready to use.
The LED stripe can be trimmed.
Danger to life by electric shock!
1. Disconnect the lights from the power supply before performing
any work on the LED stripe.
2. Unplug the power supply from the socket.
3. Choose the desired LED stripe length. Note: Ensure that you
cut the LED strip at the right place. The cutting point lies exactly
between the plus and minus pole and is marked with a black line.
Shorten the LED stripe using a pair of scissors.
4. Press both ends of the LED stripe onto the displacement contact of
the plug connection. Ensure the correct polarity (<> + 12 V).
5. Then press one end cap at a time onto the ends of the plug
connection. Check the correct positioning.
6. Be sure to cover the open end of the LED stripe with the adhesive
strip before use.

Replacing the battery (remote control)
Please observe the imprint on the back of the remote control.
1. Push in the release lever and pull out the battery compartment.
2. Remove the spent battery.
3. Insert a new battery in the battery compartment. Only use
batteries specified in the chapter „Technical Data". Be sure to
correctly insert the batteries (polarity). This is indicated on the
remote control.
4. Slide the battery compartment back into the remote control.
