Important notes on safety
Important — Read carefully before use — Save for later reference!
Observe implicitly the following safety instructions, and, if necessary, pass on this manual to further users of the playpen. Though
the existence of sources of dangers and safety hazards can be eliminated to nearly 100% due to the construction, we would like
to point out that the operation, e.g. of adjusting levers, for technical reasons always causes shear points. Always be attentive
when using this playpen!
Use the playpen only for its intended use as described in this manual.
Herlag playpens are manufactured according to EN 12227 for children with a maximum weight of 15 kg.
ATTENTION: Never leave your child unattended in the playpen.
ATTENTION: Playpens may only be used with inserted base. Please note that the lowest position of the base is the most
secure position. As soon as your child is old enough to sit, to kneel or to pull himself/herself up, only this lowest position is to be
used.
ATTENTION: Never leave items in the playpen, which your child could use to climb or which could pose a danger of
suffocation or strangulation.
ATTENTION: Place the playpen only on solid ground and never next to sources of danger (e.g. open fire, sources of heat,
chairs etc) or in an elevated position (e.g. table). Danger of considerable injuries! Only transport the playpen when the child is not
in it.
ATTENTION: Keep your child away from the playpen while erecting and dismantling it. Place your child only in a properly
erected playpen. Adjust the control elements only when the child is not in the playpen.
The playpen is solely intended for stationary use.
Do not hang or place items to the playpen which could affect its stability.
The playpen may only be used if all parts are assembled and adjusted properly by an adult. Check the playpen regularly
on accidentally released connections (retightening may be necessary) and on possible damage or missing parts. In such a case,
the playpen may not be used any longer unless a professional repair has been carried out. Use only spare parts which have been
supplied by the manufacturer. In such a case please contact your specialist dealer.
When using a playpen with rollers, always use the fixing brake!
If you adjust the base to the lowest position, you must remove the hooks first.
Cleaning and maintenance
Clean the playpen with a gentle, customary, non-caustic cleaning agent that is not harmful for the environment,
and with a moist, soft cloth. Remove any possible residues of cleaning agents thoroughly with some warm water. Let
the playpen dry completely before the next use.
HERLAG playpens are made from solid wood. The colour of the wood may change in the course of time due
to the action of light. This is not a defect.
When using playpen inserts made from cotton, the colours may fade due to frequent washing and the fabric
may bleach by the action of light. This is not a defect.
When ordering spare parts, always state the item number and the serial number of the playpen. Both numbers
can be found on the silver-coloured type plate of the product.
Construction is subject to change without notice.
