Functions and features
The through-beam sensor detects objects and materials without con-
tact and indicates their presence by a switched signal.
Standard range: 4m.
Installation
Mount the receiver (OFE...) by means of a mounting bracket; tighten
with the nuts provided.
Set the transmitter (OFS) towards the receiver and tighten in the same
way.
Maximum range only with precise alignment.
Electrical connection
Disconnect power before connecting the sensor.
Connection strictly to the indications on the type label.
Core colours: BN = brown, BU = blue, BK = black
Programming of the output function by wiring according to type label.
Load of the function check output (fc output): max. 10mA

Operation
Check the safe functioning of the retro-reflectivesensor. Display by
LEDs and (for sensors with plug and socket connection) by the
function-check output.

• short-circuit of the switching output; reset approx. 1 s after elimi-
nation of the error
• wrong object detection (maladjustment, soiling of the lenses); reset
when object is again clearly detected
• internal error
Maintenance
Keep the lens of the sensor free from soiling.
