IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCE
When using electrical household appliances, safety precautions must be taken into account in order
to reduce the risk of fire, electric shocks, or injury.
1.To avoid fire or shock hazard, plug the appliancedirectly into a 120V AC electrical outlet (it is not
advised to use an extension lead).
2.Remove the filter from its plastic bag before using for the first time.
3.Keep the power cable away from areas of circulation. To avoid the risk of fire, NEVER place the cable
under a rug or in front of a heat source (radiator, heating, etc.).
4.To protect against the risk of electric shocks, DO NOT immerse or drop the appliance in water or
any other liquid. Do not use near a water source.
5.This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years and over, people with reduced physical,
sensorial or intellectual capacities, or people with a lack of experience or knowledge, provided that
these children or people are supervised or have received instructions about using the appliance and
have understood the risks.
6.Children must not play with the appliance. The appliance must not be cleaned or maintained by
children without supervision. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used near or by a
disabled person.
7.Always unplug the air purifier before moving it or cleaning the base. Open the lid and change the
filter only when the base is not working. To disconnect the appliance, do not pull on the cable but on
the plug.
8.NEVER insert any objects in the opening of the base.
9.NEVER use the air purifier if the plug, the power cable, or the appliance itself is damaged. If
the ventilation motor does not work or the base has been damaged, return the appliance to the
manufacturer for diagnosis or repair.
10.Use the appliance only for domestic purposes as described in these instructions. Any other use
not described in the instructions and not recommended by the manufacturer may result in fire,
electric shocks, or physical injury. Any use of accessories not recommended or not sold by the
manufacturer may result in risks of fire, electric shocks or physical injury.
11.DO NOT use outdoors.
12.Always place and use the appliance on a dry, stable, flat and horizontal surface. NEVER place the air
purifier on unstable (soft) surfaces such as a sofa or a bed; the appliance may tip over and the air inlet
and outlet may be blocked.
13.Keep the appliance away from hot surfaces or naked flames.
14.If the power cable or the appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-
sales service or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid any danger. DO NOT attempt to repair the
appliance yourself as this will cancel the warranty. The interior of the base does not contain any parts
that can be repaired by the user.
15.NEVER place an object on the appliance. NEVER sit or climb on the appliance because this may
cause injury.
16.NEVER use detergents, window cleaners, polishing accessories, or any solvents to clean the
different parts of the appliance.
17.Always switch off the appliance before unplugging it.
18.This appliance is designed for domestic use under normal operating conditions. Never use the
appliance in damp environments or at high room temperatures (bathroom, toilet, kitchen, etc.). This
appliance should only be used in room with temperature between 40°F and 110°F).
19.CAUTION: To reduce the risk of combustion or electric shocks, DO NOT use the appliance with a
dimmer.
