Inspection & Maintenance
Special attention should be given to swing hooks, rings, eights, plastic welds and ropes.
Weekly to monthly / routine visual inspection
Check bolts and nuts are securely fastened
Check the shock absorbing surface for objects that should not be there
Check for missing parts
Check the ground clearance height.
1 - 3 Months / operational inspection
Check swing seats, chains, ropes and other means of attachment for evidence of deterioration. Check all coverings for bolts
and sharp edges and replace when required. Replace any defective parts in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions
Oil all metallic moving parts. Check the stability of the construction.
1 -2 times per year / annual inspection
Check for rust and corrosion

If you are creating a swing structure, you need to make sure the horizontal beam is no
more than 2.5m from the ground. Ensure the beam can support a minimum of 200kg.

Swing Corners
These swing corners are designed for 100mm round timbers. They
have a 90 degree angle between the upright and the horizontal
90º
timber 'hole' or opening.
There are pre-drilled holes in the corners at each of the openings so
you can secure the timbers.
Use two or more to create your perfect swing design.
Instructions for hanging a swing accessory are overleaf - Diagram D.
Ground Anchors
These ground anchors are designed to be 'screwed'
into the ground using the cutting plate at the
bottom to slice through the ground by rotating.
Use the bolt and washer included to secure the
anchor to the upright post of your play equipment.
You should use one anchor per upright.
We recommend using cement to secure the anchor
into the ground.
Do not allow children to use any play equipment
unless it is securely anchored to the ground using
anchors, cement or both.
Assembling Hardware - swing corners & ground anchors
Mark where you are going to put your hardware. Drill or screw a guide hole then using a screw driver and
wood screws or bolt provided, secure the hardware (swing corner or ground anchor) to the wooden surface.
